I can't recommend this game enough. The graphics were perfect; I have an RTX 3080, and I was able to run the game on the max settings in 4k. Sometimes the frame rate would drop to 50fps, but I was getting a consistent 57+ fps. The story really sold me on the game. I don't usually like stealth/puzzle games, but with such a good story, this might be my favorite game of all time. The few complaints I've seen about the game mostly pertain to lower end graphics cards not being able to run the game at 60fps. The menu has a lot of options for graphics quality, so you can prioritize fps vs resolution if need be. 11/10!
What depressed the players in the earlier game is much amplified here. The sadness and desperation are well presented through the intense and excellent performance of voice actors. Main characters are a main key to this game's crucial core and uniqueness.
The environment and atmosphere are a visible upgrade thanks to the more interactive world and beautiful graphics. However, there is little change in the gameplay and the puzzles could have been more intriguing. There are too many tools which simplify the challenges thanks to the diversity of various items. The ways of solving them should be more inventive rather than being solvable in 5 different ways. This is of course just a personal preference.
As for the story it is rich in creating creepy energy in almost every chapter. The game seems to have no mercy in punishing every character's decision, it is also why playing this game was so depressing. There are still heartfelt moments but all of it is usually crushed with continuous tormenting emotional torture both for the player and the protagonist.
All in all, it was one hell of a game that constantly kept me in an emotional rollercoaster.

This is definitely an experience.
I probably have the same complaints about this one, as about the original game. It sometimes introduces mechanics that seem like one-offs, and potentially could be a cinematic instead, and some dialogues (mostly secondary ones) feel a bit rushed or shallow. But, boy, does it delivery on the narrative overall... It's the little things here and there. Some small comments, small interactions, not necessarily from Alecia or Hugo, too. They make things feel... More real. There is proper character progression for most characters here. It's not always perfect, but it is there and it makes sense. Anger, desperation, abandon, relief and even fleeting happiness. They just work. We probably should have spent a bit more time with some characters (beside Sophia) for the connections to feel more solid, but objectively they were secondary to Alecia's and Hugo's relationship.
Gameplay wise this also seems like an overall improvement on what was provided in previous game. I would say there is no drastic changes, and additions are rather minor overall, but they all fit quite nicely and give you enough flexibility and challenge. There was also this "open-world-like" section, and it worked quite well, aside from the fact that you had to walk a lot. They also could have merged chapters 14 to 17 into 1, because individually they were much shorter than the rest, and it felt off to me.
Not sure if it's really worth it to replay it even with NG+ mode, unless you just want to try a higher difficulty, but its 16-20 hours are definitely worth the (full) price.

Easily one of the best games of the year for me as i adored the first one, thought the story was beautifully told and the relationship between the brother and sister was very heartfelt.
This game's story while it's similar to the first one, it's a lot more vicious, brutal at the same time heartwarming but sad, the title from the first game "innocence" pretty much dies if there was any left. The voice actress for amicia kills it in her role pun intended, this is how you make a strong female protagonist, she goes above and beyond for her little brother and you can clearly see how emotionally draining it is on her but she always kept going which was really captivating.
The one minor issue i have with game is that it needs some patching for the frame rate as it can get pretty intense whenever rats are around and on the consoles the game could definitely benefit a 60fps performance mode.
As a whole to me this is how games should be, a strong narrative, great music, beautiful voice acting, intense stealth gameplay and memorable characters.
10/10 an emotional rollercoaster and one of the best games of 2022.

I bought Innocence last year and completed it, but i felt wanting for more. And this year lo and behold the sequel released. Much like in the tomb raider trilogy reboot, you can feel Amicia's innocence (because she's not a battle-hardened warrior), in the weapons she has at her disposal - a sling- much like Lara in the 1st part of the tomb raider trilogy, but in the sequel, again, much like Lara, Amicia toughenes up, in the sense that she's more aware of what she's up against, she has a more powerful arsenal at her disposal, compared to the first game. The game portrays to the user the best way it can thanks to its developers and the sheer amount of research that went into making it, the 14th century grim atmosphere brought on by the 100-year war (not literally 100 years but that is what it is, shall i say, known for).
Mind you Amicia's 2nd adventure is not about the 100-year war - though it is set in the midst of it- it's a fictionalized one, where rats take center stage, again, only this time their numbers are much greater. If the 1st game had a mere 5000 of them, the sequel has 60x that much. I've been a gamer since 1998, but this is the only game that i have ever played where at some point i found myself shedding a tear for the main character and her companions, this is how intense the atmosphere in the game becomes as the story progresses, couple that with the musical score, especially at the main menu.
In some ways Amicia is a lot like Lara, and there are some similarities between the games, except for the rats. I feel there's no need to elaborate on them, you have to play the games in order to understand. I admit i got this sequel by means of utorrent, but it impressed me so much, much more than the first one, that i feel the developers deserve my hard-earned cash and i am going to buy it. If the sales are great, then a 3rd sequel may be in the works at some point because the game definitely leaves room for a third installment, which i am looking forward to.
This game along with the score is so emotionally charged, i hope it wins game of the year award. It's the best game i have played since valhalla back in 2020. Innocence is a good game too only requiem improves on its predecessor and it shows in the graphics, Amicia's weapons and her determination (which in Requiem is a lot stronger than in Innocence) to kill whatever stands in her way. The idea behind this franchise has lots of potential and promises a lot in terms of storyline.
One more thing, is it me or some pieces of the score slightly resemble the score from Joan of Arc video game made back in 2004 i think ?
All i can say is if you like this game, enjoy Amicia's 2nd highly-charged emotional adventure through the dark, grim, medieval 14th century France, once again.
