It was a clever marketing it was released the same time as Twister,there is no story due to fact it real tornadoes being caught on film this same footage the effects team on the film watched to recreate the effects with a computer,shot on VHS watching actual footage of tornadoes after watching the film at Drive Inn with Twister 2 Terror Continues on VHS it is very rare to have a documentary released the same time. Much like The Blair Witch released a documentary before the film was shown not in theaters but on Cable many believed the film was real not fictional it a great way to get more into.
