फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
The show is pretty good. The writing is very hit or miss. Some episodes are incredibly well written and others are a little weak which means the cast has to carry the script. A great comedic actor can make the most mundane jokes funny and that's what Leah Remini has brought to this show. She's a tremendous addition to an already strong cast. Her comedic timing and delivery is exceptional. If anything, the show's writing (and maybe direction?) hinders her and the rest of the cast. That being said, I'm gaining a tremendous amount of respect for her as a comedian and an actress and I'd love to see more of her on this show! I'd love to see a few episodes where Remini and Johnston take the lead in steering a plot... I get an awesome Lucy & Ethel vibe from them. Pair those two up in zany exploits and hilarity will most certainly ensue!
"The Exes" is great addition to TVLand's comedy show list. It is the second best sitcom they have had since their hit "Hot in Cleveland." It may not be completely original; the main characters live across the hall from each other, reminiscent of the hit show "Friends", but these characters were brought together by Holly (Kristen Johnston), a divorce lawyer. She brought the three male characters together, Haskell (Wayne Knight), Phil (Donald Faison), and Stuart (David Alan Basche), when she introduced them after representing them in their divorces. She rents them the apartment across the hall from her. Holly's assistant, Eden (Kelly Stables) even lived with her for a short period of time.
The actors were well brought together from shows we used to watch. Kristen Johnston from "3rd Rock From the Sun", Kelly Stables from "Two and a Half Men", Dwayne Knight from "Seinfeld", Donald Faison from "Scrubs", David Alan Basche less known from "The Starter Wife".
The plots are pretty simple, they relate to divorce and dating, and poke fun at the stereotypical roles the characters play. Viewers may start the show thinking, "I wish I had a life like that," to finishing the show with a laugh and thinking, "I'm glad my life isn't that way." Holly was career driven as a young woman, and has a successful career, but is unsuccessful in her love life as a middle-aged woman. Eden is a pint-sized, care-free single young woman having fun. Phil is the playboy of the group, always with a different woman, and as much fun as he is having, he started having feelings for Eden. Haskell is a lazy, overweight middle-aged man, who spends much of his time on his laptop. He is the funny guy of the group and is outgoing, but never gets a lady. Stuart is the touchy-feely one of the group. He's a dentist and is very proud of this small practice. He isn't completely over his ex, but with the help of the guys is trying to get into dating.
Overall, this is a simple comedy that brought a few good actors we knew from previous sitcoms together in an attempt to get a few laughs out of its viewers.

I watched a few episodes when the show first started. I enjoyed the show but something just didn't click. I'm a big fan of Leah Remini from when I watched the King of Queens, another show that I love. Anyway, when I saw the advertisement that Leah Remini was going to be on the show I just had to give The Exes another try. I'm so glad that I did! I've laughed out loud! Seriously, I will keep watching as long as Leah Remini/Nikki is on the show. To me, she was just what the show needed. I'm looking forward to the new season. I just hope Leah Remini/Nikki will be a permanent character on the show.

I won't necessarily write that this show is anything like Friends (let's be honest, what is?) or How I met Your Mother but still it has the comedy down. Kristen Johnson certainly carries most of the comedic element of this show.
The Acting however could use to tone down a bit. There were scenes which gave goosebumps out of pure overacting.
The writing needs a bit of work as well. Some lines were too cartoonish and too far off reality.
But otherwise, if you want a good time and feel good after a hard day's work then this shows is good!

With so many reality shows shoved in our face, and the few comedy shows out there that are so lame, and not worth the time watching, it's refreshing to finally watch a comedy show that delivers hilarity. I actually can't believe how funny "The Exes" is. Note: the first episode is not so good as it's just introducing the watcher to the premise, but once you get past it, it's non-stop laughter. Kudos to the writers. As for the actors, each one chosen well for each part. I thought the first season was great and couldn't do any better. Totally wrong. Second season rocked even more. There were times I had to pause the show as I couldn't stop laughing. Love the show and can't wait for the third season.
