I found this randomly while just channel hopping and wow wow wow, what an amazing Afrikaans series, dealing with real life issues and set in old Afrikaans traditions which tugs at your heart, first 5 minutes in and I was hooked, bawling my eyes out at the end of the first episode. Would recommend every day all day, Frank Opperman is as always so good and portrays the loving but stern father . I love the setting and I love seeing the Northern Cape portrayed in such an honest and warm way. The drama and build up really makes you want to instantly watch the next episode, so much so that I omitted my sunday duties and binged watched it all, Cant wait for season 2. Well done !

I also found this intriguing series by default. Very emotional, especially looking at the interaction among father and sons. They all have deep connections to the farm itself. Alzeimers is also a condition that needs a special mention. I identify with what the family went through. My late dad suffered from Alzeimers. I love all the actors. They have extreme talent. Very beautifully written! Noord Kap Afrikaans is the best! Please make sure we have another 13 part series. I need to see how the boys remember the father. And through what he needed them to be when they are grown-up. And how their children continue grandpa's legacy.
