2. Cinematography:

Negatives: 1. Lack of a Strong Story:
2. Direction and Screenwriting:
3. Music:
4. Unrealistic Action:
5. Excessive Time Taken:
1. Acting:
- A masterclass performance by Allu Arjun.
- Rashmika does a decent job, managing to hold her own.
- Fahadh Faasil plays his role aptly and seems to enjoy it, but his character design is somewhat concerning and lacks the depth it had in the first part.
2. Cinematography:
- The movie features clean cinematic visuals, with excellent drone captures of stunning aerial shots.
- The overall quality is top-notch, with a well-maintained tone throughout.
3. Jathara Sequence:
- A standout sequence where all departments excelled, creating a memorable artistic moment.
- Allu Arjun shines in this sequence, delivering an emotionally charged performance. His dance conveys raw emotions, and his eyes reflect his character's deep longing.
Negatives: 1. Lack of a Strong Story:
- The biggest issue is the absence of a meaningful storyline.
- The movie heavily relies on ego clashes rather than building a compelling narrative.
- The screenplay is a significant blunder, with scenes that seem random and disconnected, leading to abrupt transitions without proper justification.
2. Direction and Screenwriting:
- Sukumar appears to have lost clarity, as the film prioritizes everything but progression.
- The lack of focus results in a series of events that feel aimless and repetitive.
3. Music:
- Sam CS's background score adds no value to the movie.
- The music is underwhelming, failing to elevate the scenes and often making even good moments feel dull.
- The absence of DSP's exceptional work from the first part is deeply felt.
4. Unrealistic Action:
- Pushpa defies Earth's gravity, leaping with a smooth, space-like motion that feels overly exaggerated and disconnected from reality.
5. Excessive Time Taken:
- It's baffling that a movie of this quality took three years to make. With genuine effort and dedication, it could have been completed in six months.

The storyline is not good. There are many scenes that are included with no specific reason like the starting when Pushpa is in Japan and fights people there and the scene goes on for like 10 minutes, only for him to wake up (it was just a dream...). It also shows Pushpa is scared of water there because of a past experience. But that scene too has no relevance to any other part of the story whatsoever.
The only thing good about this movie was the action scenes which has impressive camera angles and dramatic effects although the fights were overexaggerated (gets a pass 'cause South Indian film)

While costume & hair style looks over gaudy for Allu Arjun
come places dialogues are voice irritating.
First scene failed to understand what's it, A Arjun dance no impact compared to P 1 , Time pass movie at average level simply dragging Action fight scene ok but little overdone
Acting outstanding by Allu & the villain Fasil.
On the contrary the film doesn't make justice to part 1.
Its mass entertainer one time watch , Sukumar could have Done little research on story telling though the direction & screenplay it keeps you engaged till the end But not as usual sequels are to be worked throughly.

I want to keep this review short because I am already exhausted because of this movie's running time. I wasn't a great fan of Pushpa: The Rise, it made the money mainly because it somehow managed to impress the North Indian demographic with its unapologetic portrayal of a loud lead actor. Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to do the same in a louder, bigger, lengthier and only at certain times, better.
Pushpa: The rise ended on a promising note with the introduction of the menacing Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. This movie does focus on the battle between Shekawat and Pushpa but becomes more of a cat and mouse game pretty soon. The back and forth conning sequences become repetitive and Shekawat's role slowly turns into a comedy gag while Pushpa's role keeps getting larger than life. There are certain parts of the movie which clearly look like they are rewritten just to increase the scale of the movie. In the latter part of the second half, the movie takes a U turn from the cat and mouse angle to become an action family sentiment drama with the introduction of the new antagonists. This leads to an impressive but a stereotypical action climax which would have fit well if the whole movie had the same tone.
Certain scenes from the teaser and trailer aren't found in this 200 minute long movie and Sukumar which makes you wonder whether Sukumar really did intend to end with a scope opening for Part 3.
This is definitely Allu Arjun's career best performance, the man has given it all. But after a while you also wonder if you may have seen him too much into Pushpa's character, you miss the old charming AA. While Rashmika is impressive you can sense that Sukumar has rewritten Rashmika''s character and the scenes around Allu Arjun hyping her because of the negative feedback received on her objectification in Part 1. However, the objectification continues to exist in the song and dance sequences and also fitting in an unnecessary item song bringing in Sreeleela. While Fahadh Faasil's role scope changes in this movie, he is still impressive with his maniac comedy. The chemistry between Shekawat and Pushpa at times is so fun that I wouldn't complain if there is a spin-off comedy movie around that. There is not much to speak about the remaining supporting characters who are part of this movie as an extravaganza.
Pushpa 2: The rule is an unnecessarily lengthy character montage for Allu Arjun with one hype scene after another. It may be fun for a certain demographic, but it lacks the soul of a typical South Indian mass movie.

Such a pathetic and waste of time. Very shallow and predictable writing. Below average acting and everything else. Please save yourself this bs. This movie makes such a bad name for the Indian cinema and specially for the South Indian movies. I am literally writing this review as I am watching it. The plot is worthless and no depth at all. The whole thing absurd and revolves around stupid things and storytelling is even worse. I have again regretted watching such movies in the cinema hall and spending my money on it. The insane amount of money spent on advertising of this movie is the reason behind the hype rather than the quality.

Pushpa 2 has finally hit the screens after much anticipation, deadlines, and controversy. Every frame exudes a high production value, with scenes full of grandeur. The film is an out-and-out Allu Arjun showcase, featuring numerous elevation moments that highlight his charisma and on-screen presence. In the second half, the story delves into the human side of his character, but these moments fail to resonate due to weak writing.
Rashmika Mandanna's characterization is underwhelming in the first half, leaning towards melodrama, though it improves significantly in the latter half with more substance. The cinematography is striking, capturing Allu Arjun from dynamic angles, while the background score enhances key moments.
However, the film's biggest flaw lies in its writing. Despite its extended runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes, the story barely progresses from where the first installment ended. Fahadh Faasil's character, who instilled terror in the original, is reduced to a caricature, failing to leave an impact. The much-talked-about Jathara sequence is visually stunning and carries a strong message, but the repetition of similar themes and messaging towards the end feels redundant. Instead, unresolved plotlines from the first part could have been explored further.
The action sequences are decent, with occasional highlights, but the climax fight crosses the line into over-the-top territory, even by the film's exaggerated standards. The unconventional ending lacks impact and leaves the audience on a low note.
Verdict: While Pushpa 2 dazzles with its grandeur and style, it falters in delivering a compelling story. Fans of Allu Arjun will relish his performance, but the lack of narrative progression and meaningful character arcs leaves much to be desired.

Same old drama storyline, nothing new. Pushpa 2 fails to live up to the expectations set by Pushpa 1. While Pushpa 1 captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, strong character arcs, and engaging performances, the sequel falls flat. The narrative feels recycled and lacks the freshness of the original. The characters are poorly utilized, with many sidelined or reduced to cliched roles. The songs are not only forgettable but often feel inappropriate, disrupting the film's flow. Despite the hype, Pushpa 2 struggles to deliver a cohesive and compelling experience, leaving fans disappointed.

Average movie, un necessary hype. Not worth the money. Nasty songs, over acting. Routine direction. Can be improved. Allu arjun acting good performance as expected and rest of the cast including actress is just average and underperformers and the climax is expected as well. Inspite of high ticket price people rushed into theatres for just a disaster movie, complete disappoint and dissatisfaction. It's quite trend now creating elevations and un necessary hype for a week story line and heavy promotions all over India. It's a one time watch even for fans and rest all can wait for ott release if you want to save your time, money and energy.

Allu Arjun is the ultimate show-stealer, once again
Be his acting, dialogue delivery, body language, intensity during fights, etc. Everything is just outstanding
1st half is a typical Sukumar movie, narrative more focused on the drama and conflict, which might feel slow, but necessary. Interval bang had has his mark written all over.
The best and mass filled moments has been reserved for 2nd half, mass literally on steroids.
On the flip side, the story lacks proper conflict, with story entirely centred around Pushpa, rather than the syndicate or with Shekawat, giving an incomplete feeling, also climax really surprised me, not for the right reason though Acting wise, other than AA, none really stood out actually, Rashmika does what she can do, expected more from Fahadh, but it's because of inconsistent writing Technically, slick cinematography by Mirsliw, editing by Navin should have been better, songs by DSP are okayish, BGM by him and Sam CS was engaging, fights are whistle worthy and production values by Mythri are top notch
Coming to Sukumar, his direction increased by multifold, but writing could have been better
Nevertheless, all these are covered by AA acting and ample mass and engaging moments
BOTTOMLINE : Go for it guys!! It's a festival.

The highly anticipated Pushpa 2, the second installment in the Pushpa franchise, delivers a mass-market spectacle but falls short in certain areas.
1. Content: While the movie is crafted for mass appeal, the storyline could have been more refined and engaging.
2. Action Design: The fight sequences and chases resemble a video game, which might work for some but feels over-stylized.
3. High-Voltage Moments: There are predictable, high-energy sequences that generate excitement but lack depth in terms of narrative integration.
4. Plot Development: The movie consists of several whistle-worthy moments, but these individual blocks lack cohesion and fail to develop into a compelling plot.
5. Entertainment Value: Pushpa 2 is positioned as a "paisa vasool" mass entertainer but falters with two weaker songs.
6. Performances: Rashmika Mandanna delivers a solid performance.
7. Character Intensity: Fahadh Faasil's character lacks the seriousness or intensity seen in the first part, making his role less impactful than anticipated.
8. Villain Arc: The absence of a strong antagonist makes the hero's victories feel one-sided, with the actual conflict seemingly reserved for Pushpa 3.
9. Dialogues: The one-liners and punchlines are effective and add to the entertainment quotient.
10. Characterization of Pushpa: Allu Arjun's characterization remains strong but doesn't offer anything new. The decision to save key scenes for Pushpa 3 dilutes the impact of this sequel, leaving room for fillers instead of substantive content.
11. Overall Appeal: While the film is a mass-market hit and delivers on entertainment, it might leave discerning audiences, including those paying premium prices for tickets under government-supported initiatives in India, wanting more in terms of content quality and storytelling.
In conclusion, Pushpa 2 is a high-energy, crowd-pleasing entertainer but lacks the narrative strength and depth that could have made it truly exceptional.

I had high expectations for Pushpa 2 after the brilliance of the first movie, but this sequel turned out to be an utter disaster. Clocking in at a mind-numbing 3 hours and 20 minutes, it was a chore to sit through.
The pacing was atrocious, with too many disconnected and pointless storylines that dragged on endlessly. Instead of building tension or excitement, the plot felt like a tangled mess that went absolutely nowhere. It was boring beyond belief-nothing kept me hooked, and I found myself checking the time every five minutes.
While the actors did their best with what they were given, the action sequences and editing were a complete letdown. The fights felt over-the-top in the worst way possible, and the editing made it even worse. The visual flow was clunky and amateurish, with poorly timed cuts that completely ruined any chance of immersion.
If you loved the first Pushpa, I'd suggest steering clear of this sequel-it's an insult to the legacy of the original. I regret wasting my time on this. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

Mass entertainer, more than three hours but no dull moments. You were entertained throughout, though there are some excesses. Can't imagine any Telugu mass movies without them. Not exceeding expectations but worth spending your money on this entertainer. Allu arjun carried the film with excellent support from Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika. Must be watched in theaters to appreciate the cinematography. Fight sequences were good. Over all not to be missed.
Screen play kept us entertained throughout the three hours of the movie. Definitely an another successful sequel. May not be as crisp as Pushpa1 but definitely a spectacle on its own rights. Happy watching !!

Pushpa 2 comes with a lot of buzz, but ultimately it disappoints. The movie heavily promotes and glorifies crime, an outdated trope that fails to resonate in today's cinematic landscape. Despite the hype, it falls short on plot and character development, relying on spectacle over substance. The glamorization of illegal activities cannot carry a film that lacks depth and meaningful storytelling. Audiences deserve better narratives that challenge and inspire, rather than glorify criminal behavior. Pushpa 2 might entertain in flashes, but it misses the mark for those seeking a more profound cinematic experience. Rating: 2/10.
Ultimate action, drama & paisa wasool movie.
Totally like first part but songs are not much good but movie is awesome . Allu Arjun & rashmika did best. Also the roll of Shekhawat was mind blowing. Movie is little long but have almost two stories plot taking part one ahead and second to next level .

Wasn't as exciting as the first one. Liked Fahad Fasil's acting more than Allu Arjun. To me Fahad fasil stole the show single handedly. Action scenes were illogical. 3 hours 20 minutes Length was too much because there was nothing much to show in the movie. The suspense and thrill was not also up to the mark. In my opinion, the makers just made the movie in a rush and to make money, leaving alone most of the important factors. Songs were added just to increase the duration of the film. It is only because of fahad fasil I am giving 6 stars otherwise this movie does not deserve more that 4 stars.

First half started off average, felt it could have been made better, couldn't keep up the hype the first part had made. Few elevations in cinematography was a stand off from the overall average movie. Dancing choreography was far from being good. Felt it was a film made to be sequel just to please the masses rather without a proper storyline and direction.
Fahad was way too under utilised, kept me wondering what was the point to bring him in the movie itself. Portrayed him like a clown overall.
Second part action turned to be good but the plot just lost its charm. Worst writing by sukumar till date I feel.
Overall a below average movie.

Tone, Script & Story: The story continues from part one and this time Pushpa has a chance to earn in thousands of crores of rupees. This time if he wins he even has a chance to even buy the government.
I found the second part more comforting than the maiden one. The reason is getting use to the name. It may be normal in south but for me it changed the whole concept of movie for something else. I did not expect an action thriller from a macho as portrayed. This was different in part two for I had accepted what it is.
The makeup as shown in posters is the best eye candy movie has for it along with song bring best scene in movie. It along with instances involving his wife bring ones emotions when they are projected.
Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: The containers, the trucks, the jungle, the police station, the celebration, the action scenes, the river, etc all have been captured well. Justified efforts in direction to make it an entertainer. Music: Below average. Acting: Justified.
Final Verdict: If you are a fan of action thriller under the image of a heroic personality you will love it. For me it's just a onetime encounter.

Allu Arjun once again proves why he's a pan-Indian phenomenon! His unparalleled screen presence, intense body language, and impeccable dialogue delivery make Pushpa 2 an absolute treat. Whether it's the raw energy during the fight sequences or the subtle emotions in dramatic moments, AA delivers a performance that's nothing short of iconic.
The first half is crafted in true Sukumar style-layered storytelling, gripping drama, and a strong focus on Pushpa's emotional and personal conflicts. While some might feel the narrative is slow-paced, every moment builds the tension for the grand payoff.
The second half is where Sukumar unleashes the mass. The action, the energy, and the sheer euphoria of watching Allu Arjun dominate the screen is pure adrenaline. The interval block and whistle-worthy sequences in the latter half are bound to leave the audience thrilled.
On the downside, the story could have explored the syndicate and its intricacies more deeply. The climax, while surprising, might divide audiences, but it's bold and fits the larger-than-life world of Pushpa. Rashmika and Fahadh have their moments, but it's Allu Arjun who carries the film on his shoulders, elevating every frame he's in.
Technically, the film is a visual feast. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek's cinematography is stunning, capturing the raw landscapes and intense moments with finesse. Devi Sri Prasad's songs are decent, but the background score by him and Sam CS amplifies every high-octane moment. The action choreography is next-level, blending rawness with stylized spectacle.
Sukumar's direction takes a giant leap, giving us some unforgettable moments of brilliance, even though the writing could have been tighter. Yet, with Allu Arjun's powerhouse performance and the massive scale of the film, these flaws are easily overshadowed.
BOTTOMLINE: Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 is a festival of mass entertainment, emotional depth, and star power. It's a must-watch for all movie buffs-an experience you don't want to miss.
🔥 Tagline: Pushpa is not just a film; it's an emotion!

Now straight out the theater this movie is no doubt a massy movies and it does all those things a typical south Indian movie does but, the plot of part one is something that made me excited for this movie in the first place. Now as the movie is massy so when I decided to watch it I already decided not to use my brain a lot and yup it actually worked this is a movie that is meant to watch in a theater with huge music system busting your ears with background music as the protagonist makes an entry and everyone in the theater are shouting and cheering ngl this does works I actually enjoyed that thing.
Action was obviously physics defying, hero being able to do literally anything but those were actually unique the action sequences in this movie and really fun to watch if you just ignore every type of logic which you actually have to specially when you are watching a massy movie. Acting done by Allu Arjun is just phenomenal he really put everything he had and properly became the character.
The plot while it was fine, but it does shifts the focus totally from the Pushpa vs Shekhawat and just introduce a totally new villian and the movie end before you even realise it because the just finish the movie and you feel that its just not complete yet which it isn't it they could have made it better.
Overall it worth watching in the theaters.

The Movie Is Unbelievable. AA rocked the Show, It was Treat for Eyes, There is Little Lag, But it will be justified for the Story, The Movie has Lot of Twists and Lot of Suspense for Part-3 , It will be definitely Rampage, 2 Fights scenes Jathara and Climax Are Mind Boggling, AA Has Rocked the show, There are many Emotional Scenes where his Acting Has brought Tears in The Eyes of Audience, The Movie Will Immerse Yourself without a Second Thought, Go and watch the Movie else u will miss the Best Experience and the Euphoria The Movie Has Got, Allu Arjun's Acting Is Pure Feast to Watch , It's Loaded with Fire , Waiting for the Rampage.

This film could have been finished in two and a half hours. But the script of the film has been wasted by adding more spices. Taking advantage of the popularity of the first part, a simple script has been forced on the audience.
In this episode, Allu Arjun is shown ruling the syndicate. But the fact that the hero changes the government of the state is not digestible. Some questions are unanswered. Rashmika Mandhana is only seen shaking her head. It is not clear until the end what dialogue she is mumbling.
Now it is certain that the third part will come. I hope the directors will correct their mistake by giving a good script and dialogues.

The rule just spoiled the vibe of the rise. The story has so much of laag just for doing part 3. Expect ego clashes there's nothing to watch. The characters of Rashmika is there for just elevating Pushpa and nothing to do much and her acting disappointed has usually. She did everything except acting. Sree Leela's song has no impact if there was a chance I would have skipped it other characters have no scope for acting itself family scenes did go well they have tired to give heart twisting climax but it was like stomach twisting climax. Actually there is no climax only. Finally the movie reach expections for me every one should watch and decide if I said anything wrong.
