Twisted Passions

The initial "Twisted Passions" from Girlfriends Films picks up where its predecessor (a Girls In White episode) left off, with a brief flashback related by star Sam Ryan concerning the debutante party she attended. Old footage offers archive footage of Satine Phoenix (the party's designated greeter at the door), Sam's "date" Elexis Monroe and two women who star in this show: Shayna and Heather Silk.

Constituting Episode 7 of the ongoing "Thornhill Diaries" saga, this opener concerns the mature lesbian couple of Shayna, a tough, rather cold-hearted dom, and her beautiful mate Jewels Jade. Sam is living with them, and likes to push both ladies around, making her a memorable heavy in the Girlfriends/Thornhill universe.

Opening vignette has Sam telling her friend Ariel Summers, a plain blonde starlet with limited career, about the party, which was for lesbians, a major annual local event. Remarking that "I always wanted to try it" Ariel makes love to Sam in Sam's bedroom in a very gentle, sensual scene.

Later when Shayna sees Sam wearing a locket around her neck given to her by a boyfriend, she reprimands the girl for accepting such from a man, and tears it off, putting the locket forcibly down Jade's panties, as her lover is standing next to them. The humiliation continues as she demands that Sam retrieve it from Jade, and the girl runs off, ashamed.

Jade gives Sam a replacement locket, given to her by a guy when she was a youngster, and they make love, quite tenderly. The "Twisted" of the series title is centered squarely upon Shayna's character, hissable from start to finish, the more so since she underplays consistently, speaking sotto voce rather than exerting her dominance by barking orders.

When Jade comes home and gets in bed with Shayna for their Sapphic romance, things go smoothly with the expected dom wrinkle of Shayna donning a strap-on dildo to hump her lover. She then pauses to remark on the new locket Sam's wearing, which she recognized from Jade's jewel box. Time for punishment: anal sex for Jade with the dildo, and then when the XXX is over, Shayna coldly throws her out of the house for infidelity - their relationship is over.

Word travels fast, and Heather Silk visits Shayna to volunteer as a replacement lover post-Jewels. Shayna is tough with her, making her earn that status in bed, and the contrast of smiling, lively Silk and the stone-faced Shayna makes for a good finale, fading out with them smooching and cuddling on a high note.

The huge-breasts match-up of Jewels (fake) and Shayna (quite real looking) is satisfying, and I also enjoyed the extra-filmic facts of Jewel's resemblance to Ashley Judd (if AJ had extreme breast enlargement surgery) and Shayna's close look to the more recent lesbian star Sheridan Love. This series will soon relocate to a notorious local place Lamoyne Hotel, and eventually became synonymous with the Thornhill Diaries portmanteau saga.
