Drew Michael: Red Blue Green

I didn't find this funny. Some parts were very awkward . Not sure if Drew is a new comic or what. The closer and the all men need therapy bit was the worst thing I have ever seen.

I was not familiar with Drew prior to this, but saw the promos and tuned in. Not knowing what to expect, my expectations were low. This was such an epic blend of brutal honesty, hilarity and syndrome analysis, all contained in an effectively delivered, revelatory way. I'm so relieved to hear someone say these things out loud, in a spotlight as bright as an HBO special. I loved his disgust fueled rant on sycophantic suck up Jimmy Fallon, Every word of his observations on wealth, celebrity and fake sincerity about exposure to and a connection with the rest of us, from inside the moat, was divine. This was not yuk yuk comedy, but somehow, these deeply personal confessions were woven into a simultaneously thought provoking and very funny performance.

I can't refer to it as an "act". It was unlike anything I have ever seen, and I will watch for anything new from him as I seek and search for all he has done before. He won't be on The Tonight Show, but I don't watch and can't stomach Fallon, the effusive fountain of fawning flattery and fake infatuation.

What a wonderful hour spent with Mr. Michael. Painful at times, enlightening beyond belief, laughs galore, and long overdue truths said in a highly public place. I needed that. This was something other than just comedy. More of it, please. Drew ? Series ? Weekly show ? Become a rich celebrity, with a solid loving relationship and a family ? Could you cope with that ?

I even really enjoyed the previous stand up of his with Suki Waterhouse and Red Blue Green is just a solo thing with an audience. Drew Micheal is so awesome I wish I could hangout with him; he's brilliant! A little dark but stays interesting in the bulk of it. Crazy how this is pretty funny in some bits a lot of it just flows well. I love the instagram thing and the few things he said about Micheal Jackson.

Another super intelligent/well made and truly funny special worth driving into. Drew is deeply thought provoking, hyper conscious and always seems to be dishing quality material that will make you reflect; and hopefully expand the mind too. His wit and hilarious joke writing is something he's worked very hard on and it shines through. I believe he's leveled up from his last special and I'm happy to see him continue to grow like this on stage and even off therapeutically.

This special is something sweet to bite into and important to see, I think based on what's said especially (see for yourself - watch the whole thing) Food for thought! Besides, I'm curious if Fallon will say anything in response... (he and the rest of Hollywood should watch it ;) way to go, Drew! On to the next!

If you are looking for a typical, mindless, constantly funny stand-up comedy show, move along, this is not it. But if you enjoy thought provoking entertainment and dark, witty, raw, psychological humor and can appreciate longer build ups to a punchline, you need to watch this masterpiece.

I saw this released today on HBO Max having never heard of Drew Michael before, checked the reviews on here to see what the people were saying and immediately knew it was up my alley.

I enjoyed every single bit of this special. Drew is a brilliant comedian, and has an incredible way with words-I was completely enthralled with every setup, no matter how long it took to get to each "punchline."

This is one of the best comedy specials I have ever seen-number one being Bo Burnham's mind-blowingly amazing work of art "Inside." The last "bit" of Red Blue Green (more like a beautiful, heart wrenching monologue) was INCREDIBLE. It KNOCKED MY METAPHORICAL SOCKS OFF.

If you identify with any of the things I mentioned above, PLEASE watch this. You're welcome. Now I can't wait to watch his other special that was heavily criticized and under-appreciated by the same people that wrote bad reviews for this one.
