The premiere has become the biggest launch week for a Paramount+ new series (growing to 8.8 million global viewers, per the streamer), joining Taylor Sheridan’s hit series 1923 and Landman as record-holders for new releases.

The first two episodes of MobLand saw Hardy’s longtime fixer cleaning up after the powerful Harrigan family, quite literally as he cleaned up the body of Archie (Alex Jennings) after he was shot and killed by his friend, patriarch Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan), because he was suspected of betraying the family.

In the latest episode of 9-1-1, Abigail Spencer perfectly portrayed a psychotic killer who wanted to kill Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character. Behind the scenes, these ladies are the best of friends. The All My Children alum admitted that she was intimidated about joining the cast, even if it was for a short time.

The Grammy winning singer has offices at the Jim Henson lot and uses the studio there to record, we hear. McG is the famed filmmaker behind the original Sony Drew Barrymore-Cameron Diaz-Lucy Liu Charlie’s Angels movies as well as the Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy action romcom, This Means War.

Simon Kinberg’s career has taken him everywhere from the X-Men universe to Star Wars Rebels. His body of work, nevertheless, remains largely divisive. Ask fans of any franchise how they feel about a revival at his hands, and they would not be particularly pleased by the idea.

The less said about the Fantastic Four, the better. Maybe it is just one of those comics that shouldn’t be turned into a movie.

While fans are still dealing with the travesty that was The Acolyte and are looking forward to Skeleton Crew, it was reported that a new Star Wars trilogy was in development with Simon Kinberg writing and producing. Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have given an official statement but it is rumored to be a new story with new characters.

Lucasfilm gas announced many film projects in the past, including a trilogy by Rian Johnson. However, most of these projects have been in limbo. On top of that, giving Kinberg the responsibility to handle a trilogy even before testing the waters may be a controversial decision. However, Kinberg does not come without experience.

Apart from the original Star Wars trilogy, no other films have received almost unanimous acceptance from fans or critics.

Simon Kinberg, the writer of Fox’s “X-Men” movies, is the latest in a long carousel of writers and producers who will try their hand at bringing “Star Wars” back to the big screen.

Kinberg will develop, write, and produce a new trilogy of “Star Wars” films for Lucasfilm, according to a report first in Deadline. Though there’s some difference of opinion in the trades as to whether the series will continue the Skywalker Saga and be Episodes X-xii or will be focused on a new group of characters.

While there have been a plethora of “Star Wars” series on Disney+ in the last five years, there hasn’t been a single theatrical “Star Wars” movie since the Skywalker Saga concluded with “Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker” back in 2019. There have though been a lot of start and stop efforts, with a slew of filmmakers and writers coming and going over the years.

NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is best known for his impressive skills on the field, and for being the boyfriend of pop superstar Taylor Swift. Now it looks like he wants to be known for something else; a career as a Hollywood star. Kelce is in talks to lead an action-comedy titled Loose Cannons at Lionsgate. This would see the sportsman swap the football field for the cinema screen, and it is perhaps not surprising as Kelce has expressed his desire to explore new horizons in the industry before.

Loose Cannons is being produced by Chad Stahelski, best known as the director of the John Wick franchise, through his 87Eleven Entertainment banner. Recent Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce is attached to star in Loose Cannons, an action comedy in development at Lionsgate, sources have confirmed to Deadline.

Details as to the plot of the film are under wraps, and it’s expected that it’ll be some time before filming as the new NFL season is just weeks away. Script is from Timothy Dowling (Pixels). Kelce is attached to star in Loose Cannons, an action comedy that is in the process of being set up at Lionsgate. Chad Stahelski, the John Wick filmmaker who has a first-look deal with Lionsgate, is producing with Jason Spitz, his partner at 87Eleven Entertainment, as well as Alex Young. Tim Dowling, whose credits include Adam Sandler comedy Just Go With It, wrote the script.

The premise centers on how every police precinct, at least in this movie’s world, has a crazy, out of control, rule-breaking officer on staff. But rather than pair them with a straight-arrow and by-the-book partner, the premise here is that unhinged person is paired with someone just as out of line as they are.

The Union falls short compared to other spy genre films, despite Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry's excellent chemistry. The plot is preposterous, and the action lacks intensity, making the film feel mediocre. Despite a strong cast, the movie's simple story, underwhelming action, and lack of surprises disappoint.

Though typically a launchpad for action sequences and globe-trotting adventures, the spy genre can sometimes be used for comedic or even romantic stories. Some of the more notable examples include the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz-led Knight and Day, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon's This Means War and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Unfortunately for The Union, it never quite reaches the same height as some of its genre counterparts, despite some stellar chemistry between its leads.

Mamie Sullivan plays the role of Rosaleen Sullivan in the series When Calls the Heart. Fans first learned about her hospitalization from a GoFundMe page created by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton.

She was admitted to a hospital in Winnipeg, back on May,11. But, the details of her hospitalization remain vague. Although, the family wrote on her GoFundMe page that her mother transported her to the hospital. There, they admitted her for a “life-threatening medical emergency”.

Then the family indicated they transferred Mamie Laverock to a hospital in Vancouver. Her parents also informed her fans that she would stay “upwards of a month” at this hospital.

Mamie Laverock, a 19-year-old actor known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan across several episodes of the Hallmark Channel series “When Calls the Heart,” is on life support after falling five stories from a balcony walkway, according to a GoFundMe page organized by her family.

After spending two weeks in “intensive treatment” in the hospital due to a “medical emergency,” Laverock “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” per the fundraiser page, which was set up by her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton.

“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries and is currently on life support,” Laverock’s parents wrote. “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”

According to the GoFundMe campaign, Laverock’s mother traveled to Winnipeg, Canada, on May 11 to help Laverock with a “medical emergency.

Of all the contenders to play James Bond next, many would argue that Tom Hardy is effortlessly one of the best choices ever. His wit, charming demeanor, and overall personality make him stand out among everyone else and seem like the perfect choice to embody the peerless spy. Plus, he’s British, so that checks out another box of requirements for the character.

However, even after all these similarities, one thing still stands in the way between everyone deeming him to be the perfect choice for this role. Since Trevor Noah left “The Daily Show” in December, the late-night Comedy Central program has been cycling through various guest hosts, a bold move that has been paying off in the show’s ratings.

Alright everyone, we’ve got all the spookies of October out of our system. Time to turn our eye to Hulu’s list of new releases for November 2022 to celebrate a new fall tradition of…hunky male dancers?

That’s right, Hulu’s biggest original title for November 2022 is Welcome to Chippendales on Nov. 22. This limited series stars Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals) as Somen “Steve” Banerjee, the real life founder of the original Chippendales club of exotic male dancers. After hits like The Dropout and Pam & Tommy, Hulu likely has high hopes for this one.

The other big original series of note this month is FX’s Fleishman is in Trouble on Nov. 17. This is based on a 2019 novel of the same name and stars Jesse Eisenberg as the titular Toby Fleischman in crisis. Before that, Hulu is teaming up with ABC for some true crime docuseries like Where is Private Dulaney?...

In February of this year Hulu unleashed the true crime limited series “Pam & Tommy.” The Emmy-nominated series prompted audiences to look at the nature of celebrity culture, misogyny, and complicity in the wake of the infamous 1990s sex tape that shaped the internet. This month Robert Siegel, one-half of the creative team that brought “Pam & Tommy” to screens, returns with a similar true-life story: “Welcome to Chippendales.”

“Welcome to Chippendales” follows Somen “Steve” Banerjee’s (Kumail Nanjiani) rise and fall in the adult entertainment industry. Matt Shakman directs the series, with Nanjiani, his wife Emily V. Gordon, co-showrunner and writer Siegel, co-showrunner Jenni Konner, and writer Rajiv Joseph among the executive producers.

While the stories of news or television reports being fabricated have always been at the center of attention, perhaps with the advent of ideas such as “fake news”, we witness a growing gap between media outlets and their former readers and viewers, at least a certain portion of them. Certainly, considering the aforementioned instances when a story was clearly fake and made just to make something more spectacular and sensationalist, some of the blame goes to the same reporters and outlets who are now being accused of creating “fake news” almost all the time by protesters and populist politicians. At the same time, the level of aggression directed at reporters and journalists is quite unprecedented, with some of them facing arrests and receiving death threats, and we are not merely talking about regimes where imprisoning reporters is more or less the norm whenever they dare talk about something against said system.

Starz is developing a romantic drama to be executive-produced by acclaimed filmmaker Ava DuVernay, Lauren Ridloff (The Walking Dead) and Joshua Jackson (Dr. Death).

If ordered to series, it will be for three seasons, 18 total half-hour episodes.

In our Q&a series Last Call, we get down to the bottom of every last thing with some of our favorite celebs - from the last time they were starstruck to the last song they listened to. This week, Isabella Ferreira takes our call.

Isabella Ferreira knew she wanted to play Gabriela in Hulu's new movie "Crush" as soon as she read the script. "I really just enjoyed how the film embraces LGBTQ+ characters without revolving the narrative around any of their coming-out stories, and it's a simple love story," she tells Popsugar. "Characters are out, surrounded by supportive parents and classmates, and I just think this positive depiction normalizes and encourages a safe environment for LGBTQ+ teens."

Ferreira also loved that the character was a "popular It girl" who was also Latina. She says, "I've always wanted to play that character," but she wasn't sure she'd ever get the chance.

Where is Fez from? No one really knows for sure, but we do know he might return to where he started in Point Place, Wisconsin.

In a TV Insider interview, NCIS‘s Valderrama said on the red carpet even though he’s having a jam-packed year between starring in the CBS crime procedural’s new season and preparing for the titular role on the ABC reboot of Zorro, the Miami-born actor has not ruled out squeezing some time in to reprise his character, the fan-favorite Fez, on That ’90s Show, if time permits.

“I’m a little busy now, but I support them so much. I’m rooting for them. I wish them nothing but the best,” Valderrama said.

“If the timing is right, I’d never say no,” suggesting his return to the Netflix That 70’s Show spinoff is possible.

More than 200 films selected for first in-person festival since the start of the pandemic.

South Korea’s Jeonju International Film Festival (April 28-May 7) has unveiled a line-up of 217 films from 56 countries for its first fully-fledged physical edition since start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A special programme curated by Train To Busan director Yeon Sang-ho is among the selection for the festival’s 23rd edition, which was announced at back-to-back press conferences in Jeonju and Seoul today (March 31).

The 10-day event will include an awards ceremony on May 4 while the Jeonju Project industry programme will run May 1-3.

Netflix has assembled the young series regular cast of That ’90s Show, a follow-up to hit sitcom That ’70s Show.

The new group of six teenage friends in Point Place, Wisconsin is led by Leia Forman, daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) from the original series. Callie Haverda (Shut Eye) is set to play Leia, with Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence), Mace Coronel (Colin in Black & White), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran & The Unsittables), Reyn Doi (Side Hustle) and Sam Morelos cast as new teen characters opposite fellow series regulars Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp who are reprising their That ’70s Show roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman, respectively.
