Can the low ratings have something to do with the fact that the series centers around a Palestinian/Arab family? Of course it does. If you know you know. Watch it, great show, great acting. I have to write 600 characters, for it to be long enough. But that was the only thing I wanted to share. Are we there yet? 600? Watch it. It's good. Well acted. Watch it. 600 characters. Entertaining, funny and real. I have seen Moe's standup show and I enjoyed it. I didn't really know what to expect when I started the series, without even noticing I was already in. It's very short! If there's one thing i'd complain about, I would've loved to see more. For some reason most stand-up comedians when they do fiction it's really bad. Not many comedians can do both stand up and fiction, Mo is officially now one of those few. Also this series gives a voice to a group of people that the world never really was able to empathize with since your voice is hardly heard, and to have that be entertaining in the same time I would call a great success.

Mo, you are great, but Maria's acting is phenomenal. The show has just the right amount of everything for a good drama. East Asian director, learn a thing or two from this show, PLEASE! But... I wonder if a Palestinian immigrant who watches the show may have the same feeling as when I watch the TV show fresh off the boat. The storyline is that we can't become lawyers and doctors, so we started to sell yummy dumplings. That's okay!

Anyway, keep up the excellent work! I am waiting for season two.

This series is so real actually and funny at the same time. It shows us literally everything with what people are going through their entire life fighting for survival.

It shows us how hard is to leave your country and how people fight to create their own new lives on the other side of the world. Now, I won't write something cliche and say that what we see in this show is happening all around us but I want to point the fact that I liked how MO despite his explosive character somehow managed to go through every hard situation that was on his plate. It was clearly hard for him, but he went through it like he is going through the wall, his spirit was breakable but he rised up from everything that he was put in to go through, often with a smile. Ok, it is just a show, but it is in our nature to break down and just give up when we have to go through something big and hard in our life and nothing goes in our favour. We always need something our someone to push us in the end.

Anyway, I liked every character, especially MO's mom. She was so great, I liked her. She was very funny and sarcastic in bunch of serious situations. Sameer and his Crystal-loved it.

Season 1 super, Season 2 good-little bit rushed at the end, but good.
