फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Ok I have always enjoyed this show. But this season has me wondering two things. First why can't Tyler Florence stop harassing his team with endless directions and tossing out stupid facts.
Second are the celebrities this season as stupid as they seen do they live in caves simple things seem to elude them. I'm not college educated but I know more than most of them.
I'm a big fan of Ann Burrell she seems to be the best part of the show at this point.
There are a lot of cooking shows that got me hooked. This one is somewhat entertaining, but I can't say I'll binge watch all 20 seasons. I watched season 20, 19 and it was enough for me. While it is true that it is called the Worst Cooks in America, by the end of the season the last two competitors can cook better than the first time they attempted doing so during the show. You do see how the competitors evolve and you find out some things about food or cooking, but I can't say you'll become wiser after this show. The information is quite basic and sprinkled throughout the show in a way that cannot provide a decent structure of actually learning from it.
I've watched iWorst Cooks n the past and enjoyed it. Granted, there were a few whiners, but most legitimately wanted to learn and improve their cooking skills. This season, most of them are just whiney crybabies. They'd rather display their silly antics and make excuses for their mistakes than learn anything. And they blame the chefs instead of accepting their valuable advice and constructive criticism to improve their cooking skills. Maybe that's what some viewers want, but I actually have learned things and gotten recipes in the past. Until there are more actual learners, I will not be watching this program.
I've watched 2 episodes of Season 23, after sitting out a few seasons. No more. Chefs require contestants who don't know a turnip from a tilapia to debone a chicken, work quickly, present a practically perfect meal, etc. It's no longer learning about nutrition, basic cooking skills, methodology, food safety. Okay, humor does lighten the goings-on, but this is just too nonsensical for me.
I'm one of those people who has the tv on all day. I like to find a show and just let it run endlessly.
And this one WAS great. Watching people go from being CONVINCED that they just absolutely could not cook to being able to hear honest feedback, take it in, and make a change was really extraordinary to watch.
Until season 23. The games became absurd, as did the contestants. The amount of screaming and carrying on makes the show unwatchable. And if you watch season 23 (which featured pairs of contestants, who knew each other) the loudest most obnoxious people are the ones that make it to the finale. Both of them. (as a result, I did not watch the finale.)
And then they come back, again, and again. I don't know why they're called "audience favorites" (Season 25, episode 9) because if you look at the individual show ratings, you'll see that this did not do anything for the show.
Sad. Because, even though I can cook, I actually learned a lot watching this. But I am done.
