I Am Georgina

A show about nothing.

Painful to watch. Completely empty of content, without any timeline and without any informative content. It is the story of a woman who had the "luck" to meet a millionaire and has a life that she herself still can't believe. I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes.

I thought there would have been more depth here, or at least to have shown a more meaningful side to her.

I have no qualms about her having worked in retail beforehand, there is no shame in having a job, any kind of job. Nor how they met, they fell in love, end of story- that's beautiful. They are both attractive and seem to be into each other, great. She didn't have money, now she does, their business not ours.

However, in this day and age, (covid, economic crisis, recession etc.) I found it baffling that her people and the production agreed to film this because it was basically just flaunting high end luxury goods with emphasis on the brand, cars, boats and interior design showcasing extreme wealth.

Then, depicting her as someone who is so involved with family, giving us the impression that she does it all regarding the homestead when she very obviously jets off to here and there constantly with an entourage leaving the children with sitters and cleaners which the crew is EXTREMELY diligent not to show (which is quite offensive to be honest)

Therefore, it did her a disservice as it just shows her as an airhead that cares a lot about luxury, brand names and so on. They could have at least shown another side to her, any other side would have worked.

P. S. She really needs a stylist and should fire her interior designer-it SCREAMS tacky. Who wears clothes with the label being blared in your face? Houses with gold walls? Did Scarface's designer lend a hand? Just no. But I suppose her target audience is into that..

Come on Netflix, you can do better!!

I understand that people generally have a higher interest in famous people's partners. But this is absolutely terrible. I cannot afford even a minute of my time to hear someone pretend to be worth it.

I fear, people with interest for C-grade content is dragging Netflix down.

It's a strange show, really. Everything we get to 'know' about Georgina is on a very superficial basis. Her friends are complete yes people and just crowd around her applauding and saying how wonderful she is, yet we see very little of why. Is it just because she takes them off on yachts and private planes? It made me feel a bit sad. They then 'thanked' her for her generosity with yet another expensive piece of jewellery. There was no substance, it felt like her life was just one glossy sheen. She also gets to spend basically zero time with her partner and raises the kids essentially alone. Money really can't buy everything!

She keeps on going about how she can't believe this is her life, just because her husband is rich and famous and gets to do all these things, being a housewife is old news, what else you got?? She doesn't come off as genuine because she says he came to the store and she said to herself: what a handsome man, like you don't know that he is THE football player, come on !!! You work at a luxury store, if course you know who are the people who come into the store, she had a whole career in retail. And on the other hand she says she feels lucky that she gets to wear whatever she wants from this famous designer she's been dreaming about all her life. Girl come on, this is what you wanted, you knew exactly who that guy was, and you got what you wanted, don't try to come off as this naive cute girl.

Just tacky the whole thing, Flaunting wealth but no meaning to anything except the family, where is his family? Where do we see you take care of the family like you talk about.
