Filmed in Arizona out of Rob Schneider's desire to honor his hometown community.

The entire family of director/producer/star Rob Schneider appears in the film. His wife Patricia Maya Schneider plays Jeanine, the resort concierge. She also co-wrote and produced the movie. His daughter Miranda Scarlett Schneider plays his character's daughter, Meara. His youngest daughter Madeline Robbie Schneider is the little girl asking for her book to be autographed in the final scene. She also appears right before the end credits thanking the audience for watching the movie. Rob's oldest daughter, singer Elle King (birth name Tanner Schneider), appears as the farmer woman with her fiancee Dan Tooker. Elle also contributes the song "Told You So" to the movie.

John Cleese's daughter Camilla plays the airplane pilot near the end of the movie. John has a small role in the film as Frank, the guy who supposedly swindles Larry out of money.

Adam Sandler's wife, Jackie, plays Larry's wife, Megan. Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler are good friends in real life.
