Demascus

This show had so much potential and the cast was amazing. I loved the examination of this Black man's mental health and relationships as he navigates his own grief. They really need to do another season. The only feedback is that some of the writing in the beginning didn't match the characters who was saying it. For example why was the therapist speaking in such modern colloquialisms, that wasn't necessary.

This show is a masterpiece. I love how it's a black cast version of black mirror. I definitely think this show has potential for a long run. However, am I experience any sci-fi black shows that are good always get canceled prematurely. For example, the watchmen on HBO. I just wanna highlight. It's an amazing cast.

Most people are in their heads now in life, no matter race. Just the fact that it's showing black men in therapy is amazing because having feelings and sharing them are hard and they were never raised to do so.

The show was incredibly creative and absolutely hilarious! I found myself laughing out loud throughout every episode. The writing is clever, the humor is sharp, and the storytelling is refreshingly original. The Thanksgiving episode was definitely my favorite-brilliantly written and performed! I loved seeing Martin Lawrence and Lynn Whitfield together again. The entire cast is super talented and brings so much depth and energy to their roles-I loved how they could switch it up and be completely different characters. I genuinely hope more people discover this gem of a series so we get the chance to see what reality Demascus is truly in. Fingers crossed for another season!

I enjoyed the show very much. I hope they make a second season. The lead actor does a great job of creating.a believable although very depressed main character.

The dialogue is fairly snappy and keeps things moving along.

My only complaint is that the main character tends to wallow a bit-in self-pity,

But when the science-fiction aspect of the show kicks in some of the things that happen earlier in the season, make more sense.

Worth watching.
