It was ok for a b-movie. Quite honestly if you are hoping to see a lot of fight scenes with Michael Jai White you'll be disappointed. Limited martial arts, some cool stuff, but was hoping for much more fighting.

This was more gun play than anything else and that is not why we watch these films. MJW is very talented, but I found this film lacking. I don't think anything has surpassed Blood & Bone as far as MJW showing off his skills.

It was a cool concept, but the trailer made is look more exciting than is was, and it made the quality of the production look a little more invested than the film was. Regardless, I will always be a MJW fan, just wish he could land the right vehicle for his fighting skills (Blade?)

If I'm writing a review for Michael Jai White, it's probably skewed on the bias side just a little bit. I can still be fair, but when I see Michael Jai White's name, I automatically click on it. Other than a couple of, Why did I get married projects with Tyler Perry, most of his movies are good action flicks. You can usually count on good martial arts, Gunplay, maybe a couple of car chases, and a decent plot line. They don't have the big Hollywood budgets that other things do, but they're usually a good watch and this one was exactly that. This included a new style of martial arts that I've never seen, that was pretty cool. It included a lot of Gunplay couple of really cool cars and a decent plot. So pop the popcorn grab the significant other and sit down and check out, As good as dead. Nuff Said Mike Out.

A good Mexican police action film, nothing too innovative, even a bit cliché, but it maintains a pleasant line between action and a slightly ironic humor, captivating characters, the final stretch takes a downturn, without anything new, moving towards the predictable, loses its spirit, and becomes more of the same... Bryant befriends a troubled teenager and introduces him to martial arts. As Bryant's mysterious and dangerous past catches up with him, he is forced into a life-or-death struggle to clear his name, save the boy and recover everything he left behind.

Bad acting, empty script, weak fight scenes, bad editing, cheap sfx - all accompanied by an ugly soundtrack.

Hard to believe someone in 21st century would want to film this nonsense. If it was a movie from 1982 I would've accept it as it is, but it's created in 2022 and it fails to deliver the required percentage of joy.

That leading actor is well known for his fighting movies from some 15-20 years ago, but now he's old and lost his energy.

I'm watching it on cable TV and I'm glad for that, because if i was watching it on big screen I'd leave the theater somewhere after the first 15-20 minutes.

It's one of the lamest productions of this century, for sure. The Ram-bro thingy didn't worked at all.

What can I say? I'm a fan of Michael Jai White. He's the action star I could have a beer with. You always know what to expect in his action movies, great fight scenes. Berenger is always a great bad guy and Mandylor has a classy style about him that's always cool.

The kid was a bit stiff and unemotional but Ivan was better as the brother. The whole training the kid was a bit rushed, like how long did he train before becoming a kick ass fighter?

Overall it was a good action flick, and anytime White, Adkins, Jaa, Uwais, Chen (Donnie or Tiger), are in it, well yeah, I'm going to check it out.

Better yet, an Expendables type movie with the martial artists named and more would be great.

Anyway, back to this movie, it flowed well with the action. It was a pretty basic kind of plot, but these are all about the action and White always comes through on that.

There's no way I should've enjoyed this as much as I did, but to my surprise, this was one of the better B films I've seen in a very long time, especially comparing this to the other MJW film I saw yesterday - The Island 2023, which was atrocious and I rated that one 3/10. This was old-school action and entertainment, and fun from start to end.

I guess MJW has a hidden talent for writing, because there was actually an engaging, suspenseful and entertaining story in this film - and bonus points for some actual legit laugh out loud comedy. Fairly newb director R. Ellis Frazier certainly had many rookie mistakes in this film, but still managed to assemble an entertaining viewing. We don't get to see MJW all out kick-butt the entire time, but he still delivered on the action and thrills either with fists, kicks or guns.

Sure the story may have been a little cheesy, but it was the good expensive tasty cheese. It also had many cliches from past great films, but they were genre-mixed and used effectively. The action was well choreographed and well shot. All casting and performances were mostly convincing, and it was great to see Mandylor and Berenger do their thing. Pacing was spot-on and every scene had a purpose, so the 89 min runtime flew by, and I actually wanted more. It's a well deserved 8/10 from me, a definite recommend, and I'd have no problem seeing this again with friends.

Lots of good action to see.

Cool scenes and good acting from the cast

I liked the scenes and the intensity of the characters. I won't say any spoilers, but I was caught off guard a few times and even jumped a bit. The leads were really good. I liked the pace of the movie too because I get bored easily sometimes when watching a movie and then I fast forward a bit for other movies.....but this movie has action! There's one scene that will have you saying WOW out loud, but of course I won't give that away. I think the direction and editing were also good in this feature length film that worth watching .

Always been a fan of MJW. I had multiple opportunities to hang out with him and his wonderful wife. They are great people and I would support them on any project that they do in the future. I have worked with many actors in my extensive career and he stands out as one of the nicest, most modest, and humble people to date.

I look forward to seeing a sequel to this film if/when it's in the works. Hopefully I can participate in the production of the project and get to see the movie magic first hand.

The movie plays very well with lots of action, as MJW does best. Overall a very solid film. Hope you enjoy it as I have.

This movie is so amazing man Wow, wonderful movie as always by michael jai white i really enjoyed this movie its fun and entertaining and there is a lot of action in it. I like this movies who mix the fun with the action, also this legendry actor michael jai white is just in another level love this dude so much i just love every movie that he act in. Also this video is really as good as dead nice title for the movie name, for me i hope there is another part next year or this year this movie deserve a spot, maybe not everybody will agree with me but i think this movie is good for watching especially when Michael Jai White is in it.

Without being all critical about movie-making techniques, cinematography and all that, this is a top 19 favorite movie solely based on its entertainment value, and as a fan of Michael Jai White, this was an enjoyable pleasure to watch as he was in top form. As the writer, producer and star of the film, MJW portrayed himself as the ultimate black rambro, even on a Steven Seagull level with much more coolness to go with the invulnerability and super-human skill set. Van Damn gets his butt kicked way too much, and I love movies where the hero does ALL the butt kicking and triumphs spectacularly in the end. Awesome gun play and fight choreography of course, and not a bad supporting cast. Exhilarating! More serious movies can be watched on other occasions. For just plain fun action entertainment, this is as good as it gets.

Absolutely love this movie, the martial arts are A plus, as is expected from Michael Jai White, and the shootouts are great too. The plot is pretty basic, but that's typically a good thing for this kind of movie, it's right down the middle and leaves plenty of time for the action. If there's any criticism it would be with the physical effects, there's a scene where one actor plays twins and one of them is partially invisible, like he's a ghost. But it doesn't take anything away from the overall movie, everything was tight and put together very well, there's never a lull in the action and it keeps you on the edge of your seat all throughout. The 10 stars isn't because I think this is Citizen Kane, but martial arts movies don't have to be, and this is everything you want out of the genre.

Up front, I am a fan of Michael Jai White, I like his martial arts. However, if you are looking for a film full of his martial arts this is not the movie for you. I enjoyed this movie because of a story-line, comedy, romance, and action all the way through the movie. A good and enjoyable movie.

I like the fact that it had a short leadup while providing enough background to understand the story. The interaction between the older brother and Bryant made for a comedic turn to the story, while continuing action part of the story.

Overall a enjoyable evening watching this movie, more like this with Michael Jai White would be great.
