फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
I still remember my first crush; it was in the first grade, and her name was Ms. Heather. I especially loved her smile, and she was probably in her forties still quite lovely. I even condoned her act of slapping my friend, even though her nails hit his eye and he began weeping. To me she was a cherished rose; even in the second grade, I used to smile at her whenever I passed by her class. Then it stopped, I don't remember when.
The Crush has happened with many boys, and it is usually the class teacher. But most, probably all, ended with it being a mere memory once they have been promoted to the next grade. The movie however takes a different approach to the storyline and it is not completely implausible – many such cases do pop up in the newspapers. However, the explanation offered in the end by the short is bewildering; I think the boy would have to be super-intelligent to think of such a scheme. I am not going to disclose the ending here, but up till then, the movie does work fine. I especially loved the scene in which the kid uses a swear word and instantly apologizes to his teacher. Another good thing was to have such close shots during the scene, similar to western films. The boy however should have been in the third or fourth grade as that is when, I feel many boys are fascinated by guns and such things.
I will not denounce the entire movie because of the ending, because it is a good watch, especially during the confrontation. Also, the acting is competent, especially Rory Keenan. The ending does dampen the effect though, and the 'ball rolling' scene looked silly.
My Rating: 6.5 out of 10

A quite disturbing short when all is said and done. A kid falls in love with his teacher and asks her to marry him, later on discovering that the teacher is supposed to marry her boyfriend.
The story line starts off as something that everyone is used to: a kid 'falling in love' with his teacher because she's the only one that truly gives him attention. The short seems to follow the sweet but unattainable crush of the kid, but it suddenly takes a turn for the worst when we are showed just what the intentions of the kid are.
It has two plot twists, one that makes us terrified, and another one that leaves us with a misplaced feeling. The short is an excellent example of how to twist the plot to play with the audience, and it's really good to see some disturbing themes with which all of your expectations are shattered.

A primary schoolboy, Ardal, falls in love with his teacher and he gives her a toy ring to show his affection. But when Ardal walks in the street with his mother, he meets his teacher and her boyfriend having just bought a real engagement ring. Ardal challenges his teacher's fiancé to a duel to the death. I don't know if Ardal's behavior was good or not, but I was surprised that such a young boy acts courageously in accordance with love. Pretty much every boy experiences a crush, but many of them can't tell their partner of unrequited love their feeling. Ardel took action and destroyed the relationship between his teacher and her ill-assorted boyfriend. From beginning to the end, the natural acting of actors really attracted me.
"The Crush" is a love story. A boy is in love with a woman, a teacher. So he proposes to her by giving her a ring. She thinks he is joking and says something that makes him accept her engagement. When he goes out on holiday, he sees her dating a guy. The boy tells the man that I am the one who deserves her. The next time he sees her at school, he finds her wearing a different ring and asks her about it. The boy challenges the man to a duel. How will the duel end?
I like the story of this movie very much. The child's pure love is really very extreme and he challenges the man to a duel. I think that until the middle of the film, you don't take any action and just end up thinking. It is the kind of movie that makes you wonder if such a story exists somewhere abroad. The film has a very tense scene at the end. I like horror movies and I love tense movies, so I like this movie too.
This movie will not be sympathetic to many people. But as a fiction I find it very interesting. You should see it once.

When I watched this film, I felt that this movie was exaggerated, shocking, but funny. A school boy falls in love with his beautiful teacher. He tries to tell her how he feels by giving her a toy ring and writing a love letter. When the boy sees her fiancé, the boy is disappointed and gets angry. The boy loves his teacher and tries to make the proposed match break off, so he challenges the fiancé to a dual. During the dual, you can see the scene that a little boy holds a gun. You find it surprising and shocking. You never know the ends of the story until you watch the film. This movie results in an unexpected turn of events, so you should check it out. The school boy is probably still under ten, but so manly and brave that I want to follow the example of him. If I were a girl, after just watching the movie, I would take to him.
