Riot has always tried to make the game the same on both platforms. But that’s really not the case. Since its release, console fans have been facing issues over strange bugs and glitches, here and there.

Console Players Are Not Having a Great Time with Valorant

Recently, an Xbox player vented his frustration regarding Valorant‘s miserable condition on consoles. In a now-deleted Reddit post, the player stated that the game on consoles is basically “unusable.” Not only that, despite this grave situation, Riot hasn’t yet come up with any feasible solution. Despite being in the beta phase, the kind of state the game is in right now is quite unacceptable.

Valorant has always been a treat for shooting title fans. This 5v5 shooter was released in 2020 on PC. It made console fans wait for four more years to land on their favorite systems. However, the arrival of the game on consoles is not that smooth.

This Riot title has been available through a limited beta testing phase on consoles since June 14, 2024. The company may have tried making the game the same for both platforms, but there are some major differences. And it’s a huge issue for console players.

The severity of the reaction might warrant Riot Games completely skipping the upcoming patch to keep it in, as people are using the opportunity to bring up another fan-favorite game mode that was silently removed, never to return.

According to an official announcement from Valorant‘s X/Twitter account, Escalation is getting the boot in Patch 9.01. This goes live on 16 July 2024, just around the corner from the console release.
