Canadian film “Yintah” won the main competition jury prize, which comes with 8,000 euros, at the 22nd edition of the Millennium Docs Against Gravity film festival. The documentary event, which played in Warsaw and six other Polish cities, ended on May 18.

“Yintah” tells the story of a Canadian-based Indigenous nation’s fight for sovereignty as it resists the construction of multiple oil and fracked-gas pipelines across its territory. Co-directed by Brenda Michell, Michael Toledano, and Jennifer Wickham, the docu captures the Wet’suwet’en nation’s right to stewardship and sovereignty over their territories.

The jury called it “a painfully beautiful viewing experience that challenges us to imagine and enact resistance — before it’s too late.”

TVLine was the first to report the news, stating that Bedrock is no longer in development at Fox, although the network is open to redeveloping the project at a later date. Bedrock was first announced in 2019 by Elizabeth Banks and her production company Brownstone Productions, with Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation coming on board as producers in 2021. Announced in 2021, the animated series will reunite audiences with Hanna-Barbera's modern stone age family in a new period of their lives, as a grown-up Pebbles (Voiced by Banks) tries to find her own way in the prehistoric town. Bedrock will also see Stephen Root, Amy Sedaris, Nicole Byer, Joe Lo Truglio, and Manny Jacinto as the older, but recognizable members of The Flintstones cast.

With Banks continuing to develop Bedrock with Fox and Warner Bros. Animation, she provided TV Line with an update on the current state of the series during a recent interview. Banks revealed that the show was still in development despite limited updates since its announcement, before explaining how The Flintstones sequel serie tone could be comparable to The Simpsons and other modern animated shows. The Flintstones is getting an update that's in the works at Fox, and a new update has arrived courtesy of Elizabeth Banks. The Cocaine Bear helmer is executive producing the new Flintstones series, titled Bedrock, which primarily follows an adult Pebbles Flintstone. Banks is also providing the voice of Pebbles for the new cartoon show.

In a recent chat with TVLine, Banks clarifies that Bedrock is "still in development." She added, "I'm also playing Pebbles, excitedly, and we're working on it."

The directors of The Super Mario Bros. Movie will officially be writing a reboot of The Flintstones. The directors, Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, earned audience acclaim for their adaptation of the popular video games series, having grossed over $1 billion at the box office with The Super Mario Bros. Movie. With that level of success, they are being handed control over a project that will adapt The Flintstones, a show which originally aired from 1960 to 1966.

Together, Horvath and Jelenic will be writing Meet the Flintstones, a movie that will walk through the origins of the famous family, according to Deadline. The project is still in early development and details remain sparse, but it is expected that the movie will be animated. That puts it in sharp contrast with its previous movie adaptation, The Flintstones, which was a live-action project that succeeded at the box office but failed to earn critical approval.

Bedrock may still come to Fox. The animated comedy series has received a pilot presentation from the network after being in development for the last two years. The cast for the series, which is conceived as a spin-off of The Flintstones, has also been announced.

Per Deadline, Elizabeth Banks (Pebbles), Stephen Root (Fred), Amy Sedaris (Wilma), Nicole Byer (Betty), Joe Lo Truglio (Barney), and Manny Jacinto (Bamm-Bamm) will star in the pilot for the adult animated series.

Despite a short delay, Young Money is officially back in the building. On Saturday night, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne all came together at Ovo Fest in Toronto, performing for a sold-out crowd and celebrating the label that changed their lives forever. Many have been anticipating this reunion ever since Drake had to postpone the show - which was originally scheduled for August 1 - due to Covid.

However, it seemed well worth the wait, with fan videos posted on Twitter showing a screen reading, "Unfortunately, Lil Wayne had issues at the border," to the crowd's audible dismay.
