Whether it be by utter obliteration, acts of deities and demons, or merely the ruination of the environment for human habitation, the world's end has fascinated filmmakers for as long as special effects have allowed it to be visualized. In general, audiences are drawn to see such mass destruction at a fictional remove as well, though some tales of the end times can hit a bit too close to home to feel good as escapism.
Not every movie on this list actually depicts the end, but they all, in some way, reckon with it. What do the characters do with their imminent fate? What would you do? Most of these films ask the questions; others might use the demise of the globe as a surprise twist. As such, we must warn that there are spoilers below, if discussing the individual approach to world-ending developments necessitates them. In most cases, you...

“The record is about how the world changed when everyone started not believing anything and being very aggressive,” stated Aal. “Everything was peaceful, and suddenly everyone was barking back. It goes deeper too. With A.I., you just don’t know what to believe. It’s like the world was out for blood. Who did this?...

When we think of open-world games, few survive the test of time when it comes to relevance. FromSoftware’s Elden Ring isn’t just an open-world adventure. It’s filled with mysteries that are yet to be solved, and challenges that may ask you to meditate on your anger issues.
Fortunately, the game has ample items for players that can soothe this journey, making the experience much more fulfilling. However, there’s always the possibility of adding some flair to it. Here’s a list of five items found in other games that would be a great addition to FromSoft’s deftly crafted universe.

Among the many Soulslike games that have tried to be a spiritual contender to FromSoftware’s games, Lords of the Fallen stands out as a unique journey that shuffles between two realms.

Who’d have thought that pixelated blocks and killing villagers would take the world by storm? We mean Minecraft, of course. Nothing less of a phenomenon after its initial release, the game has seen some insanely creative builds in this open sandbox. From recreating historic civilizations for a school project to crafting something as silly as SpongeBob, Minecraft has a little something for everyone.

There’s no doubt that Lords of the Fallen seeks to repair and outdo its forbearer namesake. With a fast-approaching October release date, this new Soulslike successor has a woeful responsibility, but a genuinely novel dual-world mechanic may help set it decidedly apart from its kin. Whether it will be enough to seduce FromSoftware’s adherents is impossible to predict at this stage, but it’s giving the game a fighting chance, as per Screen Rant’s recent opportunity to test drive its introductory hours.
The challenges which lie before Lords of the Fallen differ from those which existed during the original’s release; that was back in 2014, long before the cult of Souls would turn FromSoftware’s challenging fare into the...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, which follows the Worlds Collide PPV, which saw Nxt and Nxt UK merge into one brand through multiple title unifications… Let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Doudrop & Nikki A.S.H. def. Toxic Attraction The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Still furious after Toxic Attraction’s interference at Worlds Collide, Nikki A.S.H. & Doudrop looked to teach Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne a lesson about sticking their noses in other people’s business. The Raw Superstars battered Toxic Attraction early on, but the former two-time Nxt Women’s Tag Team Champions turned the tide after Jayne shoved Nikki A.S.H. off the top rope and flattened her with a senton off the apron. The Nxt Universe in attendance spurred on Nikki A.S.H. to tag in Doudrop who fought off both members of Toxic Attraction before stacking...

Perhaps you know the feeling, the strange tingle of vertigo you get when you’re having an entirely normal conversation with an acquaintance, and you suddenly realize that for seemingly no reason — and often about the most inconsequential things — they are lying to you. Jöns Jönsson’s “Axiom,” a standout in this year’s Berlinale Encounters section, is physically set in a comfortably well-educated, middle-class Austrian environment. But its psychological terrain is discomfort. This is a fascinatingly perceptive film about casual falsehoods, compulsive fakery and crumbling facades.
Appropriately, then, it begins in an art gallery. Julius is a museum attendant, moving soundlessly from room to room, politely chiding visitors who take photos or drink from water bottles. What he doesn’t do, and what Johannes Louis’ deceptively anodyne camera never allows him to do, is fade into the background the way museum attendants should. You are always conscious of him there,...
