Torri Higginson, Joelle Farrow, and David Pinard in Family Seductions (2021)

Sandra and Sophie are mother and daughter business partners who've just opened a café together. With business slow to start, the pair are delighted when handsome musician Blaine begins to draw a crowd performing his songs at the café. Before long both women fall in love with him, and Blaine takes advantage, convincing both women they're the only one for him. But when Sophie realizes they're being manipulated, Blaine is determined to silence her before she can ruin his fun. Will Sophie save her mom from Blaine's sinister plan before she becomes his next victim?

Two dumb women

It's the worse film going, handy if you want to fall asleep quickly. Not worth even a look at, Cheesy rubbish.

This is more like a channel 5 afternoon movie. Not one I'd want to watch again but it was okay.

Just Enough To Watch

I understand where the movie wanted to go, but I had a hard time believing the characters. Although he was easy on the eyes, he really wasn't THAT charming. A touch more ambivalence or a little more discernment in at least one of the main female characters may have made this movie work for me. I also expected a more exciting climax. There was a chance for this awkward two step to finally go somewhere thrilling and believable, but the rising action in the film gets doused with water even before the flames get high enough for you to care. I would say it's still worth a watch because the deception in the film will cause you to have a reaction...and sometimes that's enough.

Seriously considering not watching more Netflix movies

They're all the same. The beginning 99% of the movie is about the bad guy doing bad things and making people suffer.

The last 3-5 minutes are either the bad guy getting away with murder or dying a quick, painless death.

It's like they think the viewers are masochists.

Lifetime Meets Netflix

This movie could have been filmed at the Cheesecake Factory after hours. Everything is sooo predictable.

Sandra puts the Eve in naiveté. It's an hour and a half you'll never get back.

When Blaine knocks the daughter out and zips her in a body bag and throws her in the water it would only be a minute and half before she would drown. So if you believe she's a Houdini and escaped the zipped bag from within in the deep water while being knocked out, the next scene when shes on the shore out of the bag they show her waking from unconsciousness. So if she were unconscious how did she get out of the bag? If she fought her way out of the bag she'd certainly be awake when she swam to shore. Or if she floated to shore unconscious she'd still be in body bag drowned. The director picked too final of a way for Blaine to attempt murder because he would have succeeded. No way she came back from being zipped in that body bag knocked out and thrown in the water.
