A gamer finds himself transported to another world in the form of an armored skeleton knight. While hunting boars and orcs to acquire an Adventurer's license, he finds two ladies being attacked by bandits and steps in to rescue the pair.
Arc, the skeleton knight takes a job to escort a girl who wishes to pick herbs in a dangerous forest. While herb collecting, a giant basilisk attacks the girl, springing the knight into protective action.
After clearing out a bandit cave, Arc encounters and briefly battles an Elvish warrior, who is searching for human slavers who kidnap and sell elves. When she finds them and is in danger of being captured, Arc decides to assist her.
Arc accompanies Arianne and her partner Danka to rescue the captive elves. Infiltrating the base, Arc encounters a female ninja who gives him information on the whereabouts of the captives, and the trio make haste to save them.
Arc and Arianne invade the Marquis' palace to free the enslaved elf girls. With their mission accomplished, Arianne invites Arc to come with her to the Elf Lands. Now Arc must decide whether or not to trust Arianne with his secret.
Arianne guides Arc to the elven village where he meets the village elder, who is also Arianne's father. While in the village, Arc trains with Arianne's mother, a formidable warrior, while Arianne and her father report to the Elf Council.
Arc and Arianne travel through a forest as a shortcut but encounter a pack of haunted wolves. Following Ponta, Arc battles assassins who had attacked and murdered a princess and her escort, later magically reviving her and most of her men.
In the capital city of Olav, Arc and Arianne encounter Chiyome, the beast person kunoichi Arc had met in Diento. The young ninja seeks their assistance to help her free her fellow beast people from enslavement, similar to the elven plight.
Arc and Goemon, a beast person shinobi, wreak havoc on the Erzat Slave Market as a diversion, while Arianne and Chiyome free the captive beast people. Later, Chiyome gives Arc and Arianne information about the location of enslaved elves.
On their way to the Holy Revlon Kingdom, Arc and Arianne pause in a desert town to help an elvish monster researcher capture a particularly giant specimen.
Arc and Arianne reach the border city of Kaysehk, and while searching for the kidnapped elves encounter a man who can control monsters...and who unleashes his "pets" against them.
Arc, Arianne and Chiyome manage to escape from the destroyed fortress. Arianne and Chiyome go after the monster tamer Fumba while Arc deals with the rampaging giant hydra that Fumba has unleashed.
