I had a lot of fun watching it with a group of friends. The film sparked some good conversations about how far some people will go to prove the existence of unverified animals. The movie builds in intensity throughout, and I couldn't tell what was going to happen until the very end. I also appreciated the realistic attitude towards the unverified creature, more scientific than slapdash. No cliché shock tactics, which seem to be common in monster movies. It was refreshing to not have to look at far fetched overdone CGI images. The movie had a more rugged and real feel to it and I loved the scenery.
I only watched this because there were a bunch of 9 and 10 star reviews here so I figured this movie was as good as the Godfather but then I watched it or attempted to and I was amazed at how boring it was.
This is a bigfoot movie but it's not a monster movie at all, but man, it's so poorly written and directed it's like watching paint dry. You have to ask yourself how does something liek this get made. Yes, it's very low or no-budget "movie" but how do things like this get out to Amazon or whatever to be seen?
I guess anyone can make a "movie" now.
Upon further inspection all the "reviews' here are done by "people" with one review. This movie. I wonder who all those "people" are?
Don't fall for it folks. Take it from someone who did not work on this amateur-fest. Boring as hell.

"Unverified" is as much about Sasquatch enthusiasts as it is about the big guy himself. And yes, as another reviewer put it, it doesn't feel like your "typical" Bigfoot film.
Whether you're a believer or not, the unfolding human intrigue makes for a suspenseful and surprisingly entertaining watch. And even if you're unfamiliar with the concepts of "squatching," you'll get a crash course through the characters' interactions until you're watching a kaleidoscope of perspectives, needs, grudges, passions, impulses - and the final collision of all of the above. All centered around a creature whose existence is Unverified.
The actors were great, spot-on... I didn't recognize most of them, but they all felt like authentic people to me. Does Sasquatch make an appearance? That's to be left for the viewer.
One part spooky, one part humorous, all entertainment, this film will appeal to anyone with a taste for unsolved mysteries and an appreciation for overlapping human perspectives. A truly fun watch!

This movie was awesome. The storyline was great, actors did a good job portraying their characters and I liked the ending. It's a believable story. Scott always produces good films but this one is one of his best. I love all the scenery shown in the movie as you really get a feel for how difficult the terrain can be trying to study these creatures. I also liked how people characters were open minded about the possibility bigfoot exists it really added to the movie. Id put this up there with Willow Creek and Exists. It's definitely worth the watch especially if you like more believable movies about bigfoot.
As far as Bigfoot movies go this one is a couple of notches above the usual found-footage, rip-up the campers rubbish starring a baggy gorilla suit.
That said... it's not great either. The acting is fair but the plot/storyline is very thin, especially when it comes to the legal/law enforcement side of things.
Don't expect to see the creature either. This movie tries to explore the 'protect the cryptid from the rednecks' line without attempting to degrade the movie by showing the creature using a sad, baggy gorilla suit. By not showing the creature they have actually done a better job of it.
Sadly the plot itself has more holes in it that sasquatch hide full of buckshot holes but aside from that it is watchable and a refreshing change from the killer Bigfoot gorefest genre.
