I am not Fan of Kannada Movies, But as I am a born kannadiga i Knew Dr.Rajkumar was the Famous Superstar of his time, so got hold a CD and i watched this movie. The plot is very simple However the Drama,acting and the story unfolding is Excellent, I believe this is his Best Actor his talent is clearly seen in this movie(He is the best).As a widower and A rich Business Man with his Generous heart this movie brings tears especially in the Climax Scene.The movie is in B&W which makes it more appeal able with expression of the great actor.

I will not reveal the story as it is worth your time to watch again and again.

Its a milestone for acting of Dr.Raj ..must watch classic.

In reality of life, the only ultimate happiness can obtained by Donating to a needy one despite of our infinite problems.... Find your happiness by feeding the poor, visiting the sick..... Must watch movie.... 😊

It is definitely one of the most emotional movies of the 1970s Kannada cinema.

Dr Rajkumar at his best and some great acting by Jayanti, Raja Shankar, and Ashwath. And great songs by G. K. Venkatesh. The songs became super hits and they are popular even today. Those who are new to Rajkumar must watch this - this is a great testimony to the actor's greatness.

The story is that of a generous industrialist who loses his wife and kid in an accident. He becomes very close to one of his workers, who himself is a widower, and whose little daughter is very fond of Rajkumar. The story turns more emotional with the love triangle that develops between these two men and Jayanthi, who is Rajkumar's personal assistant. Rajkumar's life turns more sorrowful and turns into a painful climax. Ashwath, as always, does a great job in the supporting role of being Rajkumar's assistant who sticks to him till the end.

Totally worth watching.

This one is undoubtedly one of the best movies of Kannada language. This movie still mesmerizes each and everyone even after 40+ years after its initial release. What a performance by the evergreen Dr.Rajkumar. This is a story of riches to rags. A rich man, a true human serves all his people donates all his wealth, at the end the same people forget him. Being too good can't be too bad for yourself. This movie makes you think about true Values of life. Don't think twice before you do good, but do think twice on who you do good to. This movie has re-released several times, and still runs in packed houses. Long live Kannada movies. Acting 10/10 Direction 10/10 Story 10/10 Music 10/10.
