What a Difference a Day Made: Doris Day Superstar

Doris Day had it all. A talented actress. A fantastic voice, and outstanding looks. Sadly we don't see enough of her in this strange documentary.

OK we've got a wanna be Doris woman who would like to be Doris but doesn't have her looks or character (also she's mutton dressed as lamb) Unsure why she is given so much airtime.

We have a strange Doris 'expert' looking at himself in the mirror before facing the camera. We have a daft elderly DJ playing her records who ls and talking to her over the phone. We are watching people listening to this radio show looking at their radio sets. Why - we want to SEE Doris.

The podgy Doris stalker - the wannabe lookalike with her dyed pink dog (is that legal?) is shown speaking (stalking) to Doris at her front door over the door speaker more or less insisting she come in and see her. CREEPY. Thankfully she is politely told to get lost. Well done Doris

Yes we have a few clips of Doris in her films but mostly fans (including the creepy stalker dressed as Doris). Halfway through the early life of Doris begins so the first half can be skipped.

We then have clips of Germany and people showing her ancestors house(!). We also have people whose ancestors moved from Germany who have NO CONNECTION with Doris.

There are much better biographies out there.
