New Day

This was another decent episode with some funny moments but it didn't move the needle much for me in terms of getting hooked on the show. This episode was just about as good as the first one but I can't help but notice a bunch of awkward fights. The Pattons are pretty tough to watch at this point and I'm not interested in their story until it turns around. There was a ton of drug use in this episode leading to some pretty hilarious moments though. Coolidge is still a darling and the way she comes off as lonely and desperate for human interaction is humorous. The Mossbachers are still this crazy family with so much dynamic and I can't wait to see how each of their stories intertwine with each other. 3/5 stars.

Criticizing the reviewers who don't like this show by claiming that they don't get satire. Well. Satire is constructed of exaggeration, parody, sarcasm, wit, or irony. I find none in this show, just people acting awkwardly and/or being obnoxious. Not amusing, entertaining, or enlightening.

Plus, the writers have no clue about the hospitality industry. Not to mention that this resort is run like a dump not a five star resort.

Dysfunctional all over, the self indulging characters continue along oblivious to how trivial their circumstances are.

Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) oversteps the mark becoming more needy with continued massage therapy and a rather odd obsession leading to a dinner date with the therapist she just met.

Mark Mossbacher (Steve Zahn) aims to spend more time with his son after a slight scare that he made a bigger thing of than it needed be.

Shane Patton (Jake Lacy) continues on his quest to upgrade his room whilst smoothing his wife, not allowing her to continue her work and remain independent.

Nicole (Connie Britton) seeks the respect and approval of her daughter Olivia Mossbacher (Sydney Sweeney).

Much like the quote from the opening episode, everybody just wants to be seen. The plot is developing well, as each episodes starts to build tension when the score hits halfway through. The acting is spot on and it well worth continuing on to see how it all pans out.

The hotel manager is my favourite although it appears everything is getting a bit much for him especially considering he seemed so sure of himself early on and so sure of his guests.

I understand the feeling this show is boring and slow, but you have to acknowledge the need to build a back story and that characters usually have an arc. You have to know something about them before something happens to them.

I enjoyed this episode more than the first, and love the actors in this show. They signed on for a reason, so my opinion is hang on folks... give it time and there will be a payoff coming. It's only 7 episodes!

It's hard to evaluate this episode because it has more setup than plot. The two girls are bored and one of them has a drugstore with her--bottles and bottles of drugs. But during an escape from the beach, she leaves it behind and the proprietor of the White Lotus ends up with it.

The rest of the family continues to be tiresome. The other is fairly famous and the young bride, a free lance journalist, gets her goat because of a negative story. The son continues to be mistreated by his sister but hat a nice moment at the end.

Meanwhile, new husband continues to obsess over the room they got. This marriage won't last long. He is possessive and unfair.
