Life After 40

I found Life After 40 to be very relatable and funny even though I'm not quite 40 yet. It's a somber reminder that we're all climbing up in age but that doesn't mean that we can't live our best lives any more! I rewatched it with a group of friends and they loved it. We were smiling and even laughing hard at times. Packed with raunchy comedy, this film is definitely one I recommend, even for those who are not quite 40 yet.

I have loved this movie since the beginning! I can objectively say it is the story of my life. I am James. Same situation. Same life. This is definitely my favorite movie.

Life After 40 is quite a nice surprise. It will appeal to people who like character dramas, stories of ordinary people dealing with real everyday problems, doubts and thoughts that we all have at some point of our lives. What do I have to show for at this time of my life? Is this it? Where did all the passion go? The film also has a nice message that despite all these questions and feelings of being lonely and useless, we are often actually much better off than we think and our problems barely exist in comparison with other people's struggles. Even though the film is quite slow, it still draws you in pretty quick and is well acted. Definitely recommended.

Nice film and very thought provoking. It is a slow paced film but necessary with the narrative. The lead actor gave a great performance. And I found out it was his first film, wow. I often find these days that the lower the budget the stronger the narrative. Worth a watch for sure and I really enjoyed it.

This movie was wonderful. It was very honest, had a warm and genuine feeling. So raw, real, honest, I loved it. You saw the world from a mans eyes who is struggling to not necessarily find his place but justify it. The questions he poses are fair and real, but at times uncomfortable and frustrating. You get to see him walk through the frustration of a very ordinary moment in life.

Some have said it's slow. That's a positive in my books. It was perfectly timed to match the questioning and challenge the lead was facing. Truly a good movie.

I thought it was poignant, and James' story was told in a captivating way. You should watch it.
