It's an awesome documentary style movie. The actors were better than I thought they would be. Beautiful atmosphere, some humor scattered throughout, it also has some really good music. It definitely puts you in the spooky mood. I like how they went into real life interviews and the viewer gets a chance to know the local culture of this town in Denver and to listen to their views on the local vampire community. Including some historical takes on the vampire and its connections with Cannibalism. I really enjoyed the special effects towards the finale. They have some really good bloody scares. I would enjoy a rewatch of this one. Thank you!

I love a good found footage or mockumentary-style horror film, and American Cannibals really hit the mark for me. The film takes a creative approach by blending documentary realism with supernatural horror, and the result is both unsettling and oddly believable.

The concept of energy vampires was especially intriguing-it's such a fresh take on the vampire mythos. Honestly, I feel like I know a few of these "energy drainers" in real life, which made the idea even creepier and more relatable. Categorizing them as cannibals rather than traditional vampires added a grounded, psychological twist that I really appreciated.

For a low-budget film, I think the director and cast did a fantastic job. The performances felt authentic, and the documentary format helped sell the illusion. It didn't rely on flashy effects or overdone jump scares-instead, it built tension through mood and atmosphere, which I always prefer in horror.

Overall, American Cannibals was a pleasant surprise. If you're into found footage and enjoy smart, low-budget horror with a unique premise, I definitely recommend giving it a watch.

This is an incredible film, they did so much with a budget of only 10 thousand, the acting was great, had a lot of great shots, the blood effects were insane, loved the mixture between real and unscripted bystanders interacting with the actors and the mix between vampire actors and the real vampire family in colorado they had actually interviewed! The pacing was well done, the music wasnt too distracting while adding a layer of suspense at times, a movie i will definitely be recommending to my horror loving friends. This film is highly unique and original and will be on rotation during october with my other festive horror favorites.

I liked this film and feel that with a lower budget it was a great one.

All the characters did well to hold the viewer's attention and interest. If you enjoy Vampires movie and are fascinated by them. Well this is a must see for you. When I was younger I watched "Dracula" I wasn't phased my it at all. This film I was and was impressed with If you are a true Vampire fan I think you will definitely enjoy this one. I have seen many higher budget movies and have thought Ugh what did I just watch. You are not made to feel that way with this one. It's creepy, and quite interesting I must say. So watch and enjoy.
