Old Men in the Woods

Two old men travel out into the Kiamichi forest to track down a supposed bigfoot who lurks the woods. Do they find it?

Well, as with all these bigfoot documentaries the answer is no. The evidence they collect basically amounts to some unknown noises as well as a single large footprint.

Director Master Hughes frequently talks to the camera about what they experience during their two week trip, but again, apart from the previously mentioned 'evidence' you're basically watching two old men walking through the rainy woods.

If you're looking for an exciting documentary, you're going to be disappointed. If, however, you are a bigfoot enthusiast yourself you may find some enjoyment here.

I just watched 'the Kiamichi Beast' and I really enjoyed it. I particularly appreciated the locked down shots without dialogue or narration. Pairing those with the atmospheric music and sound design had a mesmerizing effect. It reminded me of Werner Herzog's 'Aguirre, the Wrath of God' in the way that it made me feel as though I was really out there in the wilderness. I hope that you keep making these movies with your own unique style. I've seen all of the Kiamichi Beast movies on Tubitv, they are based on real expedition, and show unique evidence that i had never seen before, fantastic video shots, Master Hughes work has received some great reviews and ill continue watching his movies.
