Another male bashing movie.

After Revenge, another male bashing movie joins the list: "The honey killer is a movie where the women just have sex with her dates and then proceeds to hurt them in whatever physical ways she deems physically possible. There is no actual plot, there is no actual character development, just smashing men for no real purpose.

10 Stars for Visuals, -6 Stars for Everything Else

As a photographer, I tend to pay attention to framing, lighting, composition, etc... From that point of view, nearly every scene in this movie is a work of art.

Beyond that, well, I was taught if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

I kept thinking this would be the perfect movie to play on a huge TV during a party- very cool visually but nothing to distract people from doing tequila shots from a stripper's navel..

Stylish, entertaining thriller well worth a watch

For a film that was produced on a micro-budget it smashes out of the water some bigger budget films with well know actors and million dollar budgets. The Honey Killer draws on film noir themes and is Tarrantinoesque in its use of sex & violence while making the most of visually arresting Andalusian backdrops.

Considering the constraints on the film maker and the fact that this became an underground hit and was pirated in 9 difference languages speaks volumes.

Ignore the negative reviews and enjoy an entertaining thriller which packs a punch!

It's not just the big studios that make movies!

A friend of mine told me about this film. He recommended it because it was totally different from a big studio movie (we both support indie film makers). I really enjoyed it! It's fast, funny and sexy, with a great look and some cracking tunes! Made me want to go to Spain! Although not with Janine!

Enjoyable

I was a little worried after reading the other reviews of this film. Ofc its a "bad" movie, mostly all movies with same person as director, writer and producer are bad.

BUT Richard Harrison has made a funny story, he matching the actors to the story and the result is much better than I expected. And where did you find Chen Shilony? We surely want more of here..

There are lots of drama, some action and even "some really good" comedy. Its brittish comedy so actually most people thinks its crap, but I laughed more than one time.

And the really good thing is that there are no crappy CGI here to get annoyed about :)

All in all a well made B class movie.

The Honey Killer is a low-budget feature film that was finally released in April 2018 on Amazon Prime and within 10 months became one of the most pirated films on the internet, going viral in nine different languages, going on to become an underground world wide hit. It was inspired by Robert Rodriguez, El Mariachi and his book Rebel Without a Crew. The movie was made with a skeleton crew of six people, with the cast and crew coordinating their own stunts and location work. It was shot in 19 days on the west coast of Portugal and in and around Gaucin, Montejaque and Ronda in Andalucia, Spain. Since its release on Amazon Prime THE HONEY KILLER has been pirated and shared so much it has become a cult hit, bizarrely hated and loved in equal amounts.
