Generation 56K

When I choose something new to watch I just read the premise and from that I decide whether or not I should devote my time to it. I've read this show's premise like two months ago and only now I've managed to put my hands on it - and I watched it all in one evening. That's what REALLY good shows do.

Generazione 56K offers a lot to the viewer from the get-go: two timelines, memorable characters with great chemistry that you instantly fall in love with, the setting, beautiful Italy, fantastic dialogues - I honestly couldn't name one bad thing about this TV series. Well, maybe only that it plays too safe and you know almost right away what is going to happen with the main characters by the end of the season but that doesn't make the watch any less entertaining.

I recently started learning Italian but out of every piece of dialogue here I could only find a couple of phrases to remember. Hopefully, by the time season 2 of this fabulous show comes out I will have my vocabulary expanded so I would not have to rely on subtitles that much.

I picked up the title due to the 56K, it brings back some nostalgia from those days, and what a great surprise. A good, simple story that almost everybody connect to. Really enjoyed Daniel friends, I guess everybody had those 2 best friends, I know I had :) The scenes and plot are well placed, the actors are deeply in the characters. Hope for season 2!

This is a delight. You'll be mad because you will be waiting for the second season. As I do. The acting is perfect, with short episodes, with a light and believable story, well told and charmfully filmed. Great OST. Nothing silly, nothing dull. Pure heart and memories from the past decades. This is a must see. Simply delicious.

Ah, romantic love. It happens every time. If you're meant for each other, you're meant for each other. My heart goes to the belated lovers who only realized that they are meant for each other decades later.

It's a quaint romantic film with all the necessary ingredients. It's a simple story but it tugs at the heart; you're drawn into it and makes you think of your own love story. I wish Daniel and Mati good luck (buona fortuna) even if this is only a movie. Kudos to the writer.

I like the way the director alternates between 2 time periods. It's seamlessly done to tell the story. Short episodes but quite entertaining. Bravo!

The main characters deliver memorable performances. And the views of Naples (Napoli) with its cobblestone streets and the majestic Mt. Vesuvius in the background are simply great.

Maybe somebody could explore the functionality of the Message in a Bottle app. It might be a good business idea.

This film is for both the young ones and the young once.

It was definitely a great show by all aspects! Perfect acting, fantastic OST, beautiful filming locations are some of the reasons this show is a must see! Made me so nostalgic about late 90s, the clothes, the vibe, first loves!! Funny and romantic at the same time! Can't wait for season 2 (if there will be one)!!
