The Waiting Game

I have seen a huge number of independent shorts and it was nice to see THE WAITING GAME because it was different. In some ways, it reminds me of a "Twilight Zone" episode, but certainly not of other recent shorts.

One by one, three people are deposited into a small room by a perky and very sexy lady. It seems that the three died and this room is sort of like purgatory--a waiting room until they enter the next life. Slowly, you learn about the regrets of each character and you see that they are all tragically flawed--so flawed that eventually they are at each other's throats. What happens in the end is pretty weird and a bit funny.

Clever and well done (except for the little soliloquies--they didn't seem to fit well into the film). This film is certainly worth a look.
