फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
A lot of great shots and cgi they forgot to focus on doing a great story. Feels like a ripoff of Marvel and Game of Thrones in terms of set design and CGI . Not a bad thing as this shows great improvement in the special effects department. What works for Marvel and GOT are the great stories they offer that you forgot these are all but special effects. CGI blends well with the story that it looks natural which the film fails to deliver.
Overall a passing grade but with the efforts spent on cgi, feels like the movie won't even do a break even in the box office. Hope the film helps promote the Magikland theme park to boost up its sale.

I bought a ticket to see this MMFF movie in Upstream. First off, it is way more practical to subscribe to other platforms like Netflix. Paying for Upstream viewing is you get to watch the movie for ONCE only, you cannot do rewind. The quality of the video stream is also very poor, it gets pixelated several time as you watch the movie.
Now to the Magikland movie review, the trailer deceived me into believing that this is a movie with potential and very spontaneous. The movie itself is very slow, the plot is lame, the acting of the characters is very mediocre, and the visual effects are very cheesy. This movie is very amateurish compared to RPG Metanoia.

The visual effects and the cgi is what makes the movie good but the rest of the film is pretty bad. The acting of the main casts is bad, the story is boring the phasing is so fast and unpolished.
My kid found this movie interesting. She already watched it for the 3rd time and counting. For us, it's boring or corny but it really depends on the viewer and age group.
The children's journey is filled with lessons about faily, bravery, friendship, love for others and the importance of believing in oneself. While the story might feel predictable to seasoned fantasy fans, it serves as a perfect introduction for younger audiences to the genre. You need to watch it with your little one to explain it to them since it's in Filipino.
Visually, Magikland is a treat. The film's CGI and special effects are impressive by local standards, bringing to life a world that is both whimsical and perilous. The fantastical elements are richly designed, from the awe-inspiring landscapes to the detailed character animations. The vibrant colors and imaginative set pieces make the film a visual spectacle that appeals to both children and adults alike.
Overall, Magikland is a delightful watch for families and fantasy enthusiasts, offering a refreshing take on the genre while highlighting the rich storytelling tradition of Filipino cinema. It is a film that encourages viewers to believe in the magic within themselves and the world around them.

The story is unique for me, and the effects of this movie is quite good.
If you love RPG game, surely you will like it.
