Ava, the dog, is an Australian Shepherd named Skye (Outrun's Allagash Evening Skye).
Adaption of author Richard Paul Evans's novel "The Noel Diary." Evans also served as one of the writers, making this his first feature film.
Director Charles Shyer is best known for his work on the The Parent Trap (1998) and Father of the Bride (1991).
Filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Production was initially based in Vancouver, B.C., but had to move to Connecticut due to U.S.-Canada border restrictions.
Was filmed in the late spring and early summer, so fake snow was exclusively used throughout.
