We've all seen the "Loose Cannon" investigator go after killers. The first half of this movie is all about the "Crazy cop." It gets dull. However, the second half truly delivers. The lead actress is terrifying as she goes into a dark, psychotic place. Good film.

I hated the main character from the start. Cannot believe I wasted time to watch. Didn't even stay for end. Implausible, over acted and really a sticker.
Not perfect, but about as close as a low-budget Indie can get, this is a film well worth checking out. Solid production value and performances, maybe a little inspiration from Dexter mixed in with an intriguing procedural, and you won't be left with feeling like "better luck next time."

When it comes to acting, I'm really not sensitive. Often when people write about how awful the acting is in a movie, I haven't even noticed. But in this movie it's really something else. Stiff lines delivered without a hint of acting skills.
I guess most people have seen The Room by now. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the lines and the acting is at that level. It's like some kids in high school got an hour to write dialogue and then "act" it out.
Since there was no way to get captivated by the story, being constantly reminded that these were ordinary people reading clumsy lines, I turned it off about 10 minutes, so I can't say much about the overall plot. However, already in these first minutes you could tell that the writing was also incredibly stupid. No way FBI agents would act like this, especially not like the female lead.

I'm all for giving low budget indie movies a fair go but this one is taking the p*ss! There has to be a basic minimum production value bellow which any self respecting film maker will not go but it seems not in this instance.
A suspenseful, aptly horrifying ride! There's some division on this film. I think it comes down to how much you like indie filmmaking. If you're expecting a big-budget, slick, fake movie, you're going to be disappointed. But if you want a thrilling horror film, raw, edgy, real, then this is for you. I was thoroughly into it!

A Killer Rising is a film in memory of all the women who have had to deal with their own inner demons, and still managed to overcome them.
We men have our demons too, and we always seem to be the protagonist all the time, and this is not the case, because the real heroine is the woman, yes, Kacee Rhona.
Stacy Beckly's performance is amazing, I love her work, I love every character and I would say she is one of my new crushes in modern cinema, apart from Scarlett Johansson (laughs).
Jason Zlatkus' role as Agent Moore should have had more of an appearance, as an extra helping hand, he is a committed actor and capable of doing anything he puts his mind to.
The rest of all the actors did super well, good job to them and director Fredianelli.

A must watch in going inside a mind of a killer. Very intense and raw. Remind me of the first time I watched Seven. The acting is spot on. The characters are mesmerizing. And the twists keep you guessing on how it's all going to end. If crime thriller is you thing, then this is it.

I watched this with my family and we were pretty captivated.
It's been a while since we watched a cool crime, catch a killer type drama and this one shouldn't be missed.
I like the theme of how one must become a monster to catch monsters.
Cool soundtrack and some standout performances as well.

A Killer Rising is a solid entry in the serial killer genre where we watch the FBI trying to track down the one responsible. I found the film impressive for an indie in that it remarkably possesses the same look and feel of a Hollywood thriller that would typically require a gargantuan budget. I can appreciate this refreshing take on the story in that we watch our own protagonist really become unhinged herself in the journey to catch the killer, presenting some interesting questions about morality and righteousness. Intriguing stuff for indie thriller fans.
I really enjoyed this film! In particular the lead actress. I liked the other actors too but she stood out to me. I thought the story was tight and the director did a good job telling the story and kept everything moving along at a very solid pace. Bravo all! You did a very good job! I give this film a thumbs up!!

This film has some very dark, intense moments. It opens with a harrowing scene that allows up to understand the protagonists actions as the film progresses. The female lead gives an edgy, real performance and has the courage to show us her ugly side. She has a tough presence that we don't often see in films. This film is a difficult journey into the mind of a traumatized person but the dynamic performances, and powerful drama definitely make it worth the ride.

Michael Fredianelli delivers an original take on the serial killer vs. FBI agent narrative. The suspense is well built and entertained and the plot has some brilliant unexpected twists. Solid watch

This is a wonderfully quirky horror film involving demons within a struggling FBI agent. Compelling plot lines. Well shot with some very good acting performances. Worth a watch.

Acting is unbelievably pitiful. Writing is horrible. As a submariner who prides himself in being able to complete any movie I sit down to watch...I have to say, after four tries I still was unable to complete more than 1 hour and 9 minutes. Puke fest.

Stacy Buckly is amazing in her role of Kacee Rhona, FBI profiler turned vigilante. Lots of action, bad guys taken care of, and it will keep you engaged. One can't help but pull for Kacee and what she does. Strongly recommended.
