There is a film saying that's it's so bad, it's good, like Roadhouse, which is a classic by the way.

Yes every actor has to start somewhere and I got thinking that if Daniel Stisen, sorry if my spelling is wrong, got the money to act in a better film then he could be a really good action star but this movie was beyond bad.

The acting was awful, no stars for that at all.

The fight scenes and yes there were many some good but mostly done in an amateur way.

When Daniel has lines to say and he tries to talk like a cross between Eastwood and Statham and the background music playing you can barely hear him speak.

This movie is on for just about 90 minutes and I struggled to stay the course.

Do yourself a favour and go past this one.

It's so bad, it's not even good.

"No one sets out to make a bad movie." But they all had to know this one is. Some of the worst acting, directing, and writing you'll ever skim through. I only gave it a 3 out of charity. But they got paid; The viewer gets nothing for wasted time. However, I kind of liked the ending after all that muscle and posturing.

What an absolute sham of a movie. The fact this is rated above a 5 baffles me. It was atrocious acting, bad violence, and full of more cheesy one liners than an actual script. It looked like I filmed it on my iPhone at time. Just plain pathetic.

"Last Man Down" is a terrible movie. On the very moment the movie starts, somehow you know already. That scene that is supposed to be tragic and emotional but that lacks any sort of impact thanks to poor acting, bad writing and even the worst placement in the story. Every single effort from the different departments feels amateurish at best and incompetent at worst, making the film virtually unwatchable. And you keep on watching, hoping for improvement. But it gets even worse. Very seldom you will see such a bad story, plot, acting and filming. Sad but true.

Honestly, you have to ask yourself how and why this was made. It's awful on every front. There are no real actors, the script is just terrible. One person wrote in another review "just because you can produce and star in a movie doesn't mean you should." That describes this.

It's supposed to be some end of world type situation where he's living in the woods and a lady comes across his path. The dialog is pretty awful and with their lack of acting skills, it's very hard to get through. You will have to fast forward to get through this mess. Then some bad guys come and there's some terrible fight scenes, they had to be making this up as they went along.

The main guy, who's name is above the title on the poster, it dreadfully awful. The name above the title on the poster is done with big name actors to get people to want to see the movie. There's no one who saw this poster and said "wow, I've got to see that!"

The guy has zero acting skills. He is buffed, clearly spending way more time on his body than his acting. But if you look at his credits, it's all "shorts" (which means it's just him and his buddies making short "films" on his camera) and "uncredited" which is an extra (which literally anyone can do). He has hardlyl any real credits. So why the name above the title? I guess to impress his mom because that's the only person who'd be impressed.

Rarely do I give a one star for something but this one deserves it. Any of the "ten star" reviews you see that rave about this were from people who worked on it. Notice how many other 'reviews' they have.

Suck the personality, characters and story out of a movie and what you have left is Last Man Down.

This movie is so bad, if there was an Oscar for one of the worst movies, this move would be at the top. Very low b budget, with very bad actors with very bad story. 2.5/10 all go to cinematography and editing.

A bunch of Swedish bodybuilders get together one night, and over a kegger and bawdy jokes watching 80s Schwarzenegger movies and decide "hey, we can do this too! Why not? We have the bods, the butts, the buff legs and arms m, and can find a babe. And no way that Austrian accent is better than our socialized Norwegian patois soaked in English. Plus we've signed up a nude model to do decidedly non-nude scenes. Our dialogues will be ripped straight from 80s VHS tapes with no context and dripping with enough cheese to start a Dominos franchise. What could possibly go wrong????"

And they try. I stress, they really really try. They bulge their biceps together, not groom their bustling beards, and give it the old bodybuilder try. If this was movie school they'd get an A for effort. Not very entertaining, but it's fun watching them take it seriously when they know the world is doubled down trying to keep it in. But boy do they try. It is like watching a bunch of toddlers make something that only they can be proud of. Actually at times it is so bad as to make you lose control as you guffaw out loud, just before the appalling realization - damn, I just wasted 30 minutes I will never get back - dawns on you. No Thank you to you Fansu and Daniel.

The premise was good. The idea made sense. The acting on the other hand... if the movie actually has anyone that wasn't wooden, and could actually carry the movie, or even emote without looking like they crapped their pants it would have been watchable. Sadly, that is not the case. Even the nudity isn't worth the it.

Last Man Down is what I would call a real "mixed bag". On one hand, it has an action star in Daniel Stisen who looks the part like none other. His appearance is top notch and it totally fits the 1987 mold of "make your action lead a jacked up dude". I didn't know I missed those 80-s films so much, until I saw this one.

Doesn't necessarily mean you should. This is some bad crap. The star of the show should take some acting lessons instead of hitting the gym seven days a week.

Ok, this can be worth having on the TV if you are doing something else, but don't make popcorn to watch this movie like I did, because you will simply be bummed out you ate a bunch of popcorn for nothing. Just go watch an 80's action flick, you will be more entertained.

Incredible that these people list their profession as "acting".

Maybe they should have spent less money on protein shakes and more on acting lessons.

I'm only surprised that Bruce Willis didn't make an appearance in it.

Very difficult to watch, very predictable from the very first 5 minutes to how the last 10 minutes would play out. I think these actors would work in another style movie but this format reveals all the flaws from writing to acting.

This has got to be the worse film I've seen on netflix in 2022. There have been bad ones but this is really really bad. Bad everything...acting, script, action...EVERYTHING.

Me 98th review, let me break this movie down. This movie revolves around a guy who hides in the woods to escape some sort of virus disaster. The main characters try to speak English, but fail, sounds like a high school play from an East Europe country. The story is very frustrating, they constantly make the most terrible decisions. The make-up, their beards etc. Look awful, they tried to make it look bad-ass but also failed on that front. I wish they had put their money into the movie instead of the obvious fake 10 star votes, almost 5500 (!!!) of them and almost no 9, 8, 7, etc votes.

...and his inability to speak any coherent words.

I swear he mumbled to the whole time.

This movie is about as generic and cliched as you could possibly get.

Actor/Director should stick to steroids and pumping his guns, because he has no talent for writing or acting or speaking or enunciating.

The opening scenes I thought were pretty good, and I hoped would set up a pretty decent thriller....

Sadly they didn't, it was all downhill after that, it really doesn't work on any level. I think the writer has perhaps expressed their ideas of the Covid pandemic through this movie, and portrayed a somewhat bleak viewpoint. The story really doesn't seem to make any sense at all.

The almost sympathetic music clashes annoyingly with the gruff voice of Daniel Stisen, it really doesn't work at all.

Positives.....they are few and far between, if you're into dudes with great bodies, then you'll enjoy the many shots of Daniel Stisen's impressive physique, at times that seemed to be the only focus, it gets a little tiresome after a while. Some good action scenes I guess.

Not worth your time sadly, 4/10.

I'll make it short and sweet. Every thing about this movie from Director, actors, script, costumes ( new boots?), acting, locations, music, etc. Are just incredibly amateuristic. I watched it for you, don't waste your time....

Well-directed, and who doesn't like Daniel Stisen? Reminds me of the 80's schwarzenegger films. Ignore the haters and just watch if you like to see the good guy win. Kudos to everyone involved in this.

This is pretty bad as far as the acting and the lines but manages to escape being the worst movie you will ever see. The story is about a dystopian future where a virus has killed off much of the population and behold; a woman stumbles onto the log cabin property of John, who has his own history with the evil military. The woman is the cure for the virus and the military wants her back so that they will control the world. John and the woman will fight them to the last man down. Pretty simple, pretty bad, yet somehow it is still fun to watch. I gave it a six because I am in the mood to watch something that doesn't require my brain to grasp onto new concepts and I want to pass some time before going to bed.

Now I am stuck trying to reach the 150 characters needed to post this, so anything else will be just my rambling because there really isn't anything more to say about the movie. There, I did it. Enjoy, or feel like it is a waste of your time. You'll figure it out pretty quick.

So bad its kind of funny. Vanity project for a bodybuilder who's resume is full of uncredited 'roles'. There really is nothing to save this. But you can save yourself by avoiding it. As of 12/12 there have been 7000 ratings given, of which 5000 have scored this wretched piece of fecal matter a straight 10 giving an arithmetic score of 9 out of 10, putting it up in Godfather territory. I suspect there are some bots at work creating these ridiculously inflated ratings. I suppose you need to have watched it to fully see how absurd a 10 rating is, and so may of them too.

BluRay is normally a reasonable indication a movie is worth a punt.
