I'm not sure why I bothered to look at this show and I'm not sure what appeals to all the others! It's absolutely the worst of YouTube with the incessant screaming. Absolutely nothing of value here. And he didn't deserve a movie either.
I'm wondering how the heck this show ever got popular if it has such a low rating. I mean I know it's not funny just how it got famous is way beyond me. On here all the stuff Lucas did got low ratings so how is he still famous if everybody already knows how much this stuff sucks? Whenever I hear his voice I feel sickened and just want to hurl because it just adds to how much I hate this show. It sucks so bad I feel that humanity is taking a turn for the worst if people really like this stuff. I know I say it a lot in my reviews but I really am hoping for an apocalypse if he continues to make any more Fred videos. I don't like this show so I gave it a 0 out of 10 because it's just that bad.
I will give some credit where it is due, Fred is not as bad as the movie Fred:The Movie, which for me is one of the worst movies ever made. But while it did start off pretty funny, it got repetitive and annoying very, very quickly.
Fred himself(played by an increasingly irritating Lucas Cruishank) is terribly annoying, he was alright to start with but once everything he said became stupider he became intolerable. It is not just the overdone facial expressions, it is also his voice which is little more than screaming and shouting, which has the appeal of fingernails on a black board.
What Fred says infuriates me too, it becomes very repetitive and a lot of it is reminiscent of angry ranting such as him saying horrible an irrelevant things about his mother, which for me is something nobody should say and also threatening to commit violent acts which is yet another thing that shouldn't be said. What's worse, it doesn't happen once, it has happened more times than I can remember, and none of it is funny. The camera work is also very dull and rushed, and the stories while decent at first quickly start running out of ideas.
All in all, better than the movie, but annoying, unfunny and lame. 2/10 Bethany Cox

This is a series that is an insult to human creativity, one that could not conceivably be worse. There is pretty much no plot whatsoever, nor are there any attempts at creating remotely likable characters. Yet, I will not assign a star rating. This could have worked if anyone remotely talented worked on this, yet not a single shred of effort seems to have gone into this travesty.
This could be seen as a form of surreal humor, yet nothing on this show is even remotely funny. This could be a form of surreal art, but this show has nothing to say. Even the "be yourself" message here is shown to cause Fred nothing but misery. The clumsy attempts at teaching a lesson come off as preachy and ham handed. Even the most stupid, easily entertained kids will change the channel before long.
Overall, Fred is an obnoxious, irritating waste of time where gross out humor is the closest the show comes to being funny. It still falls short. Lacking the necessary qualities even for so bad its good, this show defies classification and is devoid of any remotely redeeming qualities, making this show utterly impossible to recommend on any level. A star rating at least implies that there was one thing that made the experience memorable, good or bad. Trying to rate this show would require that the show at least makes itself memorable, and the most pathetic part is that it falls short of even that.

I'm one of the very few people who are willing to admit I enjoyed Fred's first few episodes. I didn't love them, but I felt entertained. Then it felt like the show just got worse with time. I think there are three main reasons for this. One is the fact that it got way to monotonous. It kept on doing the same formula over a billion times. The fact is Fred's act gets annoying after a while. Reason number two is the fact that it became to kid friendly. When the Fred franchise got involved with Nickoldeon it lost a lot of dirty humor. They stopped focusing on stuff like Fred's alcoholic hoar mother, and tried to get more into Fred unpopularity with the other kids. This just made the show start to feel like I was watching one of those Disney Channel or Nick live action TV shows about teenagers in school. It got to a point where I felt like Miley Cirus was going to jump onto the screen, and start making my ears bleed. Third is how the show became a flat out cash cow. When the guy who made these videos realized he could make money off it he started George Lucasing it. He constantly advertised Fred products, and put in-show advertisements. I stayed with the show hoping that it would make a comeback, but eventually I had to click the unsubscribe button. I recommend the first few episodes, but other than that I can't recommend.
