TharnType

I've now seen a few BL dramas and I must say it has been quite eye opening. I started watching K-dramas, then CD, JD, Thai and progressively moving into BL. This is one of the few dramas that I must say is properly rated. Not necessarily because it shows too much sex, but because of the mature subject matters covered in the series. At first it may have seemed that Type was coerced into sex with Tharn. Obviously, Type's feelings for him are much more complex than that. His experience at a young age and the stigma that goes with being homosexual causes so many to feel shame and hate themselves and others simply because society does not accept them. It is clear when you see many marrying traditionally as his older brother did at the end. Type almost gave up because his father wouldn't accept him and his partner, but so glad that he didn't. As in IU's song, Love wins all! Love is all, Love is all. Love, love, love.

An 8 rating because it is not the best acting, a bit of repetition and unnecessary silly fluff. However, it is an enjoyable series, that touches some deep subjects and worth watching.

First time for BL Thai to me, I thought Tharntype was bored but I was wrong. This series is really cute, I like the way the build Tharn and Type relationship. Some moments I've smile without control. Of course Tharntype is not a perfect story until the end, but the feeling after will make you happy for sure.

TharnType is a series that handled so many types of real life issues in such an incredible way. It leveled up Thai BL in such a way that I for one can never look at it the same way again. Truly one of the best.

One of the best BL's I've watched. I assumed this to be as same as everyone else but TharnType proved me wrong. I think Type's character development is one of the bests I've seen. Not to mention the romance is to die for and their chemistry is on fire. They have the best chemistry together and really shows, and Mew and Gulf give amazing performances together. Also the side characters are really well done as well. Only small minus is that the show doesn't seem to know the word consent.

This is my first time creating an imdb account and writing a review because I can't stay silent without recommending this beautiful masterpiece to everyone out there. I've watched several BL series/movies of different genres and different languages before watching TharnType. I just finished this series last month and I still can't move on. I even cried for about 5 days because of the emptiness I feel after finishing it. TharnType has set the bar too high that I'm having a hard time starting a new series😭 Actually, I've heard of MewGulf but I had no idea why they were so popular back then. But after binge watching the series and clips on youtube, I realize that NO ONE EVER DOES IT LIKE MEWGULF. Their chemistry as TharnType is so amazing. They don't have any sex scenes but their hot steamy kisses did everything. Also the sweet scenes are surely gonna make you feel like a professional third-wheeler. You can literally feel love in their eyes. Needless to say, their chemistry as MewGulf in real life is so real and adorable. I don't feel any awkwardness between them.

Another thing I love about this series is the soundtrack. "Be Mine" is the best Thai song I've ever heard and I started learning Thai just because I want to learn this song byheart.

So overall, I'd give 100 stars if I can but 10 stars is the maximum so there it is. If you haven't watched TharnType the series, please do watch it. I highly recommend this to you. Hope to see Mew (Tharn) and Gulf (Type) in more projects together.
