It lacks context. What has made him afraid of dogs? Is he gay? Why did he go there and why is Marc being a jerk? As a snippet from a larger film, it might peak your interest to watch more, but there's nothing more available, so. . . ?

It is a film for viewer. The director gives only a fist of suggestions, but nothing more. You build the story, like a sort of puzzle, you use the details and the references. Well acted, well crafted story and the feeling of so familiar. Two boys and few ways, gestures, reactions. Enough for define it as a real good short film.
