Incredibly authentic

If one is curious why drag culture and community is so important, I really encourage you to watch this show. Every time I'm at a live show the end show celebration is what courses thru my spirit. Three incredibly brave queens travel to areas of oppression, bringing people into themselves, confronting LGBT+phobia with fearlessness and instigating important dialogue.

Wonderfully atypical

So far so good. Just one episode in and completely enjoyed the hour. The drag performers were familiar to me, and I was concerned this might be the usual fare or too contrived. It was neither. The stories were told in an authentic manner. I look forward to seeing the other episodes in the series.

Really special

Bored one day, came across this title and saw a few photos, thinking it was a silly sort of sitcom that I could get lost in. I had no idea it was a "reality" show. I was 10 minutes into the first episode when it all came to fruition. Fun, mindless, silly, talented. Well, as I kept watching the episodes, mindless change to mindful. What this small gem of a series is doing is unique and the timing could not be more perfect in the climate we live in. When they go to each town, they do not hide the ugliness of racism and homophobia, yet do not exaggerate it either. It is what it is. As a proud gay man who has worked been part of the LGBTQ community for many years in the past, this show even gives me pause - so thoughtful. Trite, but walk a mile in someone's shoes: pumps, heels, loafers who cares! The chosen guests are a wonderful kind of diverse which adds to my admiration. Maybe it's me, but I do well up a couple times each episode. I just finished the season 2 opener and loved what they did. The episode started taping last year when Covid hit. They had to shut down (which is part of the last year season finale), so it picks it up a year later. Well done. Watch more than one, and you may see what I see.

The most important show on TV!

I am an old (71), straight white guy. This show makes me wish I was a drag queen, but I am afraid that that ship sailed for me many years ago. I just can't dance (or walk) anymore. Alas. I don't know what I expected when I started watching "We're Here," but what I got is transformative (in more ways than gender identification). This show is about EMPOWERMENT! It is amazing to see how preforming in drag unleashes the power in people who have been repressed and suppressed by society. When common folk, too often looked down upon by the community for their sexual orientation, can unabashedly display a cross-gender identity and proudly expose the breadth and depth of their inner power, it becomes a joyous event for everyone! The language is raw and uncensored, but otherwise this is entertainment for the whole family. My wife and I feel empowered just watching this show. It also makes us hopeful, watching people overcome the bondage of gender-identity. If "regular people" can publicly eschew their gender issues by performing in drag, then we can each overcome anything! The three gorgeous gay souls who headline the show travel to a different town each episode, spreading the drag gospel to the unenlightened by introducing them to the world of drag. Some people are resistant to these "drag evangelists," but the townspeople who participate in or attend the drag show display a sense of excitement and joyousness similar to religious ecstasy. May the Drag-God bless all of these fabulous queens, and the rest of us too! Amen!

Made me want to love myself more

From beginning to end, this show shows you the struggle that people go through. However, the energy and confidence that the drag queens brings is contagious and it makes me want to be better, do better and love better! 10/10 recommend!

Exactly what we need right now.

So fun, so funny with a heart and message of acceptance. Beautiful show that embraces the world as it is now, not as we'd like it to be. You don't have to be a fan of drag to appreciate stories of different lives, different world and different beliefs coming together.

Love this show

This show is about loving yourself and finding your inner strength through self-acceptance. What's not to like? Of course, the standout is Shangela. Halleloo!

Sooo Entertainting!

In America, we need more elements that bring us together as a people. For this monumental task, We're Here presents Bringers of Unity in drag queen form. These three drag stars--Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela and Eureka--have the humor, charm, beauty, wisdom and emotion we all need now, during this time of crisis that is keeping us isolated, unamused and dispirited, even more than usual.

It had all the flavors; thrills *and* chills. I laughed. I cheered. I cringed. I cried. Entertainment, proper!!

So moving!

I think I've cried each episode. This show is all about loving yourself for who you are. Bob, Eureka, and Shangela are so good at helping each person transform and accept themselves for who they are. Plus their outfits are always amazing.

A show about life itself.

Makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes me questioning about my own life and my community. This is one of that shows that is not about queers or drag queens, it's just about life, love and accept who you are. Two thumbs up!

More please

This show encompasses the heart of the LGBTQ+ community and the positive aspects that everyone can experience when they are open minded to accepting other people for who they are and not who they think they should be. The three very talented queens on this show are compassionate, intelligent, funny, and deeply giving people. This helps make the world a better place through understanding each other.

Absolutely what we need right now!

In one of the most divisive periods in our nation's history, this show is exactly what we need to remind us what the true power of community is capable of when we come together and lead with respect, unconditional love and acceptance.

This show truly represents the transformative power of drag and as a fan of each of these legendary queens, I'm so proud to see them light up the path for change across the country with charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent! :)

Watching them step into small towns where being gay or even just different is taboo has been so moving. I initially found myself feeling uncomfortable for them when some town residents reject their presence and it made me aware of the power we give to others when we allow their definitions for acceptance to impact us. Seeing the queens walk with their heads held high and empower people in those towns to find their voice and stand in their own power is E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

Drag just might save the world, who knew? Hallelu!

Drag to heal

This show displays the thearaputic power of drag. Drag is more than just a form of entertainment, it's about empowerment and artistic expression. If you want an insight of how that is possible watch this show. Go in with an open mind and possibly learn something.

I can't stop crying!

This is better than just a drag show. It's healing, it's educating, it's sharing love. Coming from a small town before I moved to California, I could relate to basically every story on this. I LOVE how the producers have integrated allies, and those who are learning along side these professional queens. I was very skeptical at first. Thought it would be just another way to promote RuPauls Drag Race ( which is just fine! Love it). Could not be more wrong. America gets to see that there is more to drag than wigs and make up!!

These Queens are fierce and beautiful inside and out!!

We're Here is the show we all need right now. These amazing Queens open people's eyes to the beautiful art of drag, and just maybe open a few people's minds and hearts about what it mean to be LGBTQIA+ and teach them about acceptance. They give their drag daughters the courage to live their truths and discover a light within themselves they didn't even know they had. I'm living for them ALL!!

Total Sunshine During a Dark Time

Really sad that there has only one episode left. This great show has really helped me cope during the shutdown. I sure hope they make more when it is safe to do so. Can't wait for the dvd to come out so I can share with friends that don't have HBO.

Exceeded all expectations

The cast, the editing and overall presentation are so great. I think it's easy for "makeover" reality series to fall into the corny territory but this series flawlessly steers far clear of it. Hoping for a long run!

Should Be Required Viewing for All Americans

Inclusion and acceptance is what this country really needs right now and We're Here delivers.

Right up there with Pose IMO.

Great addition to HBO.
