I'm a huge fan of Thalaivar but it's the directors who spoils the fame of superstar, dear shiva honestly speaking this movie is similar to visvasam it's a huge disappointment after a long wait so much of curiosity it's a big big disappointment but enjoyed seeing my Thalaivar.

Dear shiva & team movie directing is not a joke, get to know better & never put our Thalaivar & good actors down with this kind of story, rating for your story & screenplay is not even 2.

Disappointed terribly, to the core.

Cliche ? Too much cliche ? Way too much cliche ? Unbearable cliche, thats what it is... terrible screen play all around a sister sentiment, which is again ridiculous. If siva could make such a worse movie so much put on budget and with such a wonderful cast, he should stop making movies. And Rajni, he is killing all fans by doing these useless movies with all hopeless directors...

Annaatthe was marketed as a family drama with high emotion so that's exactly what I went in expecting. Well it wasn't a family drama, rather a FAMILY MELODRAMA. I was never really sure whether I was watching a movie or a TV serial. Every emotion is amped up, every dialogue is delivered in a melodramatic way and followed by loud melodramatic music and still you feel nothing for the characters, at least I didn't. The screenplay is pretty much non-existent. Things happen randomly with underwritten charcters. I didn't mind Siva redoing the old troupes from his and others' films but the problem is they never really make any sense. And, yet again, a film fails to find a legit villain who can actually pose a threat to the Superstar. Keerthy Suresh has nothing to do other than cry and Nayanthara has not even that. And finally coming to Rajinikanth, it's no doubt he's past his peak but the man still carries the film, all alone, with his energy and charisma. You can see him give everything he can but it's not enough to save this weak film. It's evident that he still has more to offer for Tamil cinema but the sad reality is the filmmakers just don't know what to do with this legend anymore.

Everything was in overdose in the 2nd half - lot of actions, lot of weeping, lot of sentiments but nothing clicks. One can watch till 1st half, after that it is a test for patience.

Just Felt as if I watched 4 serials straight. Being a Fan of Rajnikanth, I'm really disappointed. The story plot is weak, the comedy is cringe, the emotions are unnecessary. The film is just a mixture of Kadaikutty Singam, Viswaasam and Namma Veetu Pillai, but it's bad.
