The Love Project

"Blown away" doesn't even begin to describe the way this series made me feel. I've only seen "My Day" and "Overtime", and I'm craving for more. Each shot planned to diligently, the lighting is on point, great cinematography and sound, and awesome writing. There is definitely something to be learned from this series, from the perspective as an audience member and filmmaker. I really can't wait to see more of this!

Saw a few episodes at film festivals in Tokyo this year and enjoyed what I saw. Short and to the point, well shot, and smartly edited. Each episode has a different message based around a biblical passage, but the episodes themselves never felt preachy or heavy handed. I recommend this series to anyone looking for short content for their festivals or for teachers looking for supplemental lesson materiel for religious studies.

I watched My Day during a special screening in Kyoto with the director and it was definitely a highlight of the event. The cinematography and colouring is so beautiful, and the story is so sweet. Director and cinematographer, Jamie Kassler, pulls excellent performances from his cast, and despite there being no dialogue, their motivations and feelings are easily understood. Can't wait to see the rest of the series.
