Playing the Crease

Over due feel good movie. Loved the hockey scene which is usually lacking in ice hockey movies. True to life. Loved the them song theme song "Last Breath". The main actor, Jonathon Moch & supporting actor, Kate Barnett, were great. In California it is not uncommon to have co-Ed high school hockey team so it was nice to see a true representation of that. The training session were true examples of really hockey training which was again nice to see rather then something thrown together. I would love to see this movie in the theaters or at least available to order or purchase so other can enjoy this movie.

I really enjoyed that. I loved the message and the acting was emotional and inspirational.

It was a cool movie with a really cool storyline. The storyline seemed realistic, and the message of reaching your dreams and hard work rings true and inspires.

I really enjoyed the score. Suspenseful rhythmic music was well placed to create moods.

Besides the music, the cinematography and lighting were very good. I always felt like I was seeing something happen right in front of me. Each scene seemed realistic.

Not knowing much about hockey, I was glad that some action scenes were slowed down.

I recommend the movie.

This is an entertaining movie that intertwines the struggles of a young athlete and adult crime victim. It has the feel of Karate Kid but with a focus on youth hockey and disabilities. One theme demonstrates that it often takes another person to encourage and relate to in order to find the determination to overcome obstacles in life. In this case it is two very different people with very different and difficult obstacles that meet in a serendipitous way. The two main characters find ways to motivate and help each overcome their personal struggles. Teens and adults will find this movie entertaining and relatable. I recommend you watch the movie.

Apparently those rating this movie over 1 star are connected to it in some way. This has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The acting is laughable. The movie is not even about Hockey. Bad on all fronts! Terrible writing. Simply silly! I don't normally comment on movies, but this one was so poorly done, Don't waste your time watching. Both the kid and the so called coach were just terrible. I rented this because I thought it was a hockey movie. Worse than a Hallmark movie that tried to evoke emotions but fell short. I almost turned it off but thought it would get better, a complete waste of time!

Acting was very bland, not much fun to watch. I feel like the people reviewing it are being paid to give it good reviews or something. Wasn't impressed.
