I never read the book. Maybe that's why I really enjoyed the movie. It's maybe the best Russian movie I saw in the last several years.

A good insight on the hopeless state of Russian modern society. Integrity and good can be found only in interpersonal relations, not in social institutions which are totally corrupted. The movie is a little bit slow, but still catching.

The storyline unfolds with a captivating blend of mystery and drama, introducing us to a world filled with complex characters and unforeseen twists. Without divulging spoilers, the movie's plot masterfully weaves together various elements, creating a tapestry of suspense that keeps the audience guessing until the final scenes.

Loved this movie as it keeps you guessing how the movie would unfold at the end. The moral of the story and the plot unwinding from a simple beginning is superb. Well crafted and tense from beginning to end. This is a movie to watch if you like Gone Baby Gone and Drive

Will keep you glued to your seats.

What an amazing movie. Intense, bleak and very sad. Definitely not a movie for everyone. Leaves you thinking about a lot of things
