Nightcast

As i'm not a C-Movie fan, I thought this flick was pathetic. Maybe it would be more fun if i was drunk or stoned, but i just wasn't in the right mood for wasting my time.

Theoretically this film could be great to watch with friends and laugh at the brutal acting and ridiculous effects and story. It was a German version of Toxic Avenger but even more cheap and stupid, something like House of the Dead 3.

Sometimes I was frightened by a thought what could happen to the world if Uwe Boll suddenly dies of an abrupt pangs of remorse for what he has done to the art of movie-making. But now I have no fear. Because there are apparently enough people who are ready to sadistically eye-rape you with their satanic creations.

This film has been done very pro-like for its little budget. I happen to get my hand on the English dub copy and enjoyed every minute of the film. It was suspenseful and campy, bloody, and full of action and explosions. I really loved it and give the whole cast and crew a B+ for all of their effort and hard work they put into this movie. Before the movie starts, Marco Von Moos tells you that the film took about four years to produce, and I think they really took their time on it. Some so-so moments, but really other than that, great job! It's hard to tell about the acting, because it's dubbed. I hope this movie makes a limited theater release sometime, I'd pay the money...

I think it is a really lousy and nasty thing to just outright trash someone's efforts without giving any solid reasons why, as casperado has done. Yeah sure he mentioned the so called brutal acting, but really it wasn't that bad. I think casperado just wanted to be nasty, since he probably doesn't have the talent to do something even along the lines of Nightcast.

For anyone who is interested, it's pretty good for an amateur indie. The acting can be uneven but again, it's not that bad. Overall, it is enjoyable for what it is and I commend the people behind Nightcast and wish them well in future projects.
