What a surprise. I knew nothing about this film and was so glad to have seen it. The story is filled with unpredictable twists and a somewhat weird ending. Very creative. The reviewer who negatively commented on the "one take " is a puzzle There was no room for retakes. All characters speak their parts from beginning to end - not a misstep in sight. And, the cinematography is noteworthy. A noteworthy film well worth watching. Not for the faint of heart.

Wow, this was just awful. And I have to ask, what is bragging that a modern film was "Shot in one single take with no cuts"?? To me this is like bragging a painting was done with the painter's eyes closed.

A noirish mexican look at a 21st century inter net love match. Date went well until it did not, film is a good character study the production design , contributed to the film's visuals which makes it a good film for non spanish speakers too as the story is told with alluring visuals and is easy to follow asa result , i will watch again!

The ending is so dumb that ruins this movie. Whereas, the first part is intriguing and well acted, the last 30-ish minutes are almost ridiculous. Even acting gets amateurish, however i don't blame the actors but the script. It's still watchable and kind interesting, i wanted to see where it goes. Some nice twists, a good build up, good chemistry between the actors. Unfortunately, a character did a stupid thing, and then, it felt apart, it was getting dumber by the minute (Seriously, who thought that in this particular circumstance, this male character would did what he did, after the 60 minutes mark??. I see that the director is also the writer, it's like he sabotaged his own movie).

In any case, it was a nice try. It's not easy to create a movie with no budget, especially an one shot movie. Not recommended but still well directed. If you wanna watch a psychological-drama thriller movie and you have no big expectations, you might like it.

The technical achievement of the one-take approach adds to the suspense of this high-wire act of a romance turned suspense thriller. Excellently acted with a thoughtful script that deftly explores blind date and attraction dynamics. This one is well worth the initial slow burn pacing and delivers with satisfying twists. Render-vous is destined for a cult film legacy.
