It took three to eight hours per day to apply all the prosthetic make-up on Aura Garrido for her role as Aneris.

Aura Garrido's character is named Aneris by Friend. Aneris is the read right-to-left word of "sirena" (Spanish for siren).

This film project took 12 years from beginning to completion of filming.

The photograph that Friend finds in Aldor Vigeland's logbook, with "Mrs Vigeland" written on the back, is a picture of Aura Garrido (who plays Aneris).

David Oakes's character never is identified with a name. Gruner decides to call him Friend, which is how he is credited.
