Curse of the Wolf

There are not to many films I have considered "unwatchable". This is one of them. From what I could tell before I had to finally turn it off. The acting is terrible, the plot is boring and poorly written, and the photography is annoying. I usually try to cut low budget films a lot of slack, but this film was just a total waste.

There is only one way I can figure it's getting the few positive comments I see here. They must be from people associated with the production in some way.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this like you would a steaming pile of werewolf dung.

The original "Curse of the Wolf" story might be entertaining enough in the form of a book or novel, but the poor quality of this movie makes a mockery of the storyline.

Within the first five minutes of watching Curse of the Wolf, it was painfully obvious that it was not going to be very scary or entertaining. The acting, special effects and filming of this movie were of way too low quality to take seriously.

Lanny Poffo was a great entertainer in the WWE, but is not a great actor in movies.

This movie is so bad sometimes I wondered if they just gave up on making a quality film and turned it into a joke.

Sadly, the only entertainment value of this movie is in getting a good laugh out of how poorly it was made.

Lots of action, nudity, hard rock soundtrack, and some truly funny moments. Loved it. The writer/director also stars in the movie and the cast he picked for his movie is beyond what you expect from an truly low-budget film. Shot in, of all places, ERIE, PA? I was honestly impressed with the writing. The acting is somewhat over the top and at times it's hard to tell if it's intentional (for laughs) or if some of the actors are truly trying to seem menacing? I loved Blue Meanie and the lead actress. This movie is just what you think it will be....campy horror at it's low-budget best. I don't know where you can pick up the 3 DVD set anymore...amazon maybe? the set also included a CD with the soundtrack...which i loved.

This is one of those movies that I feel like I have to give 2 scores.

For normies- For the average movie watcher, this is movie is really terrible. It's really low budget and looks it. The acting is terrible. The story and character motivations don't make a lot of sense. There's nudity. People fight. S%$t blows up. Then it's over. It's a 3/10 at best.

For people who like B-grade drive-in theater fare- This movie is F#@king great. It has all the boobs, beasts and blood you want in a movie like this plus a bunch of martial arts fights and things blowing up. The characters are all gloriously absurd. The plot doesn't make much sense and it doesn't matter. Why is the werewolf pack so determined to get Dakota back? I don't know and who even cares? Writer/director Len Kabasinski appears under the fake name Leon South as a character called Stick which may or may not be a Daredevil reference that makes no sense. Unlike many writer/directors. He does not cast himself as the unstoppable badass who bangs the hot chick. He plays a henchman who spends half of the movie getting his a@* kicked and it's hilarious. I don't think he wins a single fight in the entire movie. This is prime, weapons-grade B movie schlock.

First of all, i understand that this was low budget horror. As such i wasn't expecting a great film. But they could have at least found more than 1 person who could act better than a retarded Koala bear. Aside from Renee Porada, the "actors" seem as though the only experience they have is from porno movies...and not even well-written porno movies. The dialog seems to have been written in 5 minutes, or worse..Ad-libbed by the actors. The stunts were somewhat impressive but they hardly save the movie from its stupidity. All in all, if you are planning to see this film and expect a great werewolf action flick, keep your distance. But if you are looking from some cheap laughs, i highly recommend it.
