Chain Reaction

Hate to say it--but many of the contestants seem as though they have never heard a familiar phrase in their lives. I think the players on America Says have much quicker minds--and a much better host.

Chain Reaction is still an entertaining show, I'll usually find time to watch it if I can. However, it's pretty clear that GSN cut and pasted some aspects of their other show America Says and implemented them into this program; i.e.: 60 sec bonus round at the end, 2 teams of three, second chance shows, and so forth.

The contestants are not Jeopardy material. I can only conclude that they reject players of higher I. Q. s. My only enjoyment comes from me knowing close to 100 Pct of words prior to the contestants. I also take pleasure in yelling IDIOTS at the TV. I really need to get a life.

Besides the 90210 host, this show had the most unattractive stupid contestants. painful to watch and the host indicating that you can win a lot of cash if you play well. what was this guy on?. the most i saw anyone win was around 7000 and that was split amongst 3 players on the winning team. 2500 is nice change but compared to other games shows like TPIR or Wheel ,its peanuts.

What, please tell me, is the point of connecting seven or eight words where one word simply leads logically into the next one? At least on "Password Plus" and "Super Password" each set of five passwords acted as a set of clues to a person, place, or thing. This one has two teams of contestants trying to make a "chain" of words with nothing to hold them together. The final round, where two team members are given answers and alternate forming a question for their blindfolded teammate, failed as a separate show, "GO!", back around 1984. And, typically for GSN, the payoffs are chintzy as well. Don't bother unless you're just desperate for something to watch between 3 and 4 PM Eastern.
