Regarding Host Segment 1 ("Turn Your Crank To Frank"); this is a reference to a Twin Cities 'new country' radio station that went on the air in 1993. The station was WBOB-FM or BOB 100 and "Turn your knob to BOB" was their actual tag line. WBOB and two other country stations in the market ended up in a ratings war and saturated the Twin Cities market with endless promotions, much to the annoyance of most of the residents. The Brains living in the Twin Cities at the time were just as annoyed as everyone else.
