While visiting his friend Padre John at a mission school in Texas, Sugarfoot learns of a plot to kill Mexico's President Benito Juarez. He, Padre and a woman - who desperately wants to meet Juarez so she can persuade him to let her husband go - are kept prisoner.
Colonel Winslow (Richard Garland) intends to assassinate Juarez from a church bell tower as the stage contains the president whizzes by - but things get worse for Sugarfoot and his fellow captives when Winslow's subordinate Bolt takes over command and goes totally dictator mode and is willingly to kill anyone cold-bloodedly.
A fairly tense episode with a compact plot fleeting to one imminent danger to the next - the finale is quite exciting and tense with Brewster fighting a nut job shooter from a bell tower as well as trying to stop Bolt. Jack Kruschen is very good as the maniacal Bolt.
