Bones and House show that Hollywood has decided to think and produce quality TV again.
Bones has a future.
It makes you think and wonder about what happens out there in the real world. Only thing is I wish Bones and House were still on same night.
Made for one great evening of REAL TV. I wish they'd shown more of Bones this summer even if they had to only show one House per week. Emily is truly a good actress. The entire cast of Bones work well together. I cannot wait for the new season of Bones.
In this episode, Seeley Booth announces that he had worked with Bones before - we'll see that in a later episode (Season 5) as they tell the story of how they met. (I LOVED that episode!!!)
You can tell the characters are loosely developed. This episode got me interested in watching the rest, and it's become one of my favorite shows. Booth and Bones have chemistry from this beginning episode, and it only grows over the years.
Excellent!
6 is given because and to record particularly bad moments. Like in the pilot. When bones is speaking to the senator.
Usually the camera will focus on the person that is doing the talking. So in a conversation, the camera will switch from one person to the other depending on who's talking. This is What usually happens in the show as well. Except in this scene.
Maybe they had to dub in Some dialogue or something... But in the senate scene the camera does the opposite. The results is so jarring it's impossible not to notice.
It was pretty good but I've always found it odd that she's the opposite of the usual brain person that we always see in shows.. usually the person is smart but completely useless when it comes to physical contact.. that's why Castle was a hit.. the detective girl was the brawn and castle was the "brain" but here brennan if pretty much both asides from being a big inept socially speaking but overall great story.
I must admit, as I am not a David Boreanaz fan, I didn't go into watching the pilot episode with any expectations of something positive, and I was pleasantly surprised.
I found the first few scenes a bit forced, especially Angela in the airport and the altercation between Brennan and the Homeland Security agent, but I enjoyed the adversarial pretext between Booth and Brennan.
The case in this episode is believable enough, although I found it quite odd that there didn't seem to be any concern that small bones may have slipped through the netting the body was bound in.
Sam Trammell turned in a fantastic performance as Ken Thompson, but besides his and Emily Deschanel's, most of the performances in the pilot seem jumpy and in David Boreanaz's case, stiff.
The blend of actual science, plausible plot, and just enough action to keep you interested made me want to continue on to episode 2.
I'm glad I gave Bones a shot; it's now one of my favorite shows, and one of the only ones I actually tune in to on TV each week.

- गूफ़At the start of the episode, a plane is shown touching down in an airport with the Nation's Capitol in DC visible in the background; the scene is identified as Dulles International Airport. The Capitol is not visible during landing at Dulles Airport. Both the landing sequence and later shots inside the airport appear to be Reagan National Airport, which would be more likely given its proximity to later events.
